The Latin American Music Awards took place on Thursday night, and Maluma was the big winner of the evening, taking home three trophies. The Colombian singer won awards for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Video of the Year.

The Latin American Music Awards (LAMAS) were held last night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, and it was a night to remember for Colombian singer Maluma.
The 26-year-old took home three awards: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year for his album F.A.M.E., and Favorite Male Artist – Latin Pop.
In addition to his three wins, Maluma also gave an electrifying performance of his hit song “Corazón” that had the crowd on their feet.
Other big winners of the night included Ozuna, who won five awards including Artist of the Year – Urban Music, and Bad Bunny, who won four awards including Artist of the Year – Urban Music and Album of the Year for his album X 100PRE.

Some of music’s hottest stars took the stage at the 2018 Latin American Music Awards.
The show, which aired live on Thursday (Oct. 25) on Telemundo, was hosted by Ana Patricia Gámez and Billy Montaner and featured performances by Becky G, Maluma, Ozuna, Christian Nodal, Reykon featuring Maluma, Natalia Jiménez, Karol G, Manuel Turizo, Sofía Reyes featuring Reykon and De La Ghetto.

The Colombian reggaetonero was nominated in a total of five categories, also contending for Artist of the Year and Favorite Collaboration, the latter of which he shares with Ricky Martin for their track “No Se Me Quita.”

Maluma put on an incredible performance at the Latin American Music Awards, taking home three trophies in the process. The Colombian singer thrilled the crowd with a medley of his biggest hits, including “Felices los 4” and “Cuatro Babys.” He also took home awards for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year (“Felices los 4”), and Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock.

J Balvin, Karol G, Ozuna, Reykon, and Rosalia were among the other winners at the Latin American Music Awards, which were handed out Thursday night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.
Best new artist
The best new artist award went to Jhay Cortez, who is also from Colombia.

Other winners at the Latin American Music Awards included Reykon, who won best urban song for “El Chisme”; Silvestre Dangond, who won best tropical album for “Vivencias”; and Shakira, who won best short form music video for “La La La (Brazil 2014),” her World Cup anthem with Brazilian singer Carlinhos Brown.

And the winner is…
Maluma! The Colombian singer took home the award for best urban album at the Latin American Music Awards Thursday night (Oct. 17) for his LP F.A.M.E., which was released in May.
The 23-year-old, who is currently nominated for five Latin Grammys, beat out fellow urban artists J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Cosculluela and Ozuna for the trophy.
