The Latin Billboard Music Awards are back for 2021! This year’s show featured some of the biggest names in Latin music, including J Balvin, Ozuna, Bad Bunny, and more.

The show was hosted by two of the hottest stars in Latin music right now, Becky G and Maluma. Performances from across all genres of Latin music were featured throughout the night, making for an unforgettable show.

Here’s a look at some of the best moments from the Latin Billboard Music Awards 2021!

The show

The Latin Billboard Music Awards are set to air on Thursday, April 29, at 8/7c on Telemundo. This will be the first time in the show’s history that it will be held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic. The awards will be hosted by Jonas Brothers, who are also nominated for four awards.

The hosts

The 2021 Latin Billboard Music Awards were held on April 26, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Alejandro Fernández and Gente de Zona served as co-hosts for the show.

The performers

The show included many great performers, including Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Ozuna, Carlota Ruiz and more.

The winners

The show this year was hours long, but it flew by thanks to stellar performances, awesome presenters and of course, the big winners. Bad Bunny took home a total of five awards, making him the artist with the most Latin Billboard Music Awards in history. J Balvin, Ozuna, Rosalia and Karol G also had a great night, each winning three awards.

Artist of the Year: Bad Bunny
Bad Bunnyfan Club derrotado Bad Bunny took home the top prize at this year’s show, Artist of the Year. The Puerto Rican singer also won billing as Male Artist of the Year and Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, making him officially the most awarded Latin artist in Billboard history with 27 wins. In his acceptance speech for Artist of the Year, Bad Bunny thanked his fans and dedicated his award to Puerto Rico. “This is for Puerto Rico,” he said. “This is for my family, for my friends.” He also shared some words of encouragement for anyone going through a tough time, saying “even when you fall, what really matters is that you get back up.”

New Artist of the Year: Rauw Alejandro
Rauw Alejandro rose to fame in 2020 with his hit single “Tattoo,” and he kicked off 2021 by winning New Artist of the Year at the Latin Billboard Music Awards. In his acceptance speech, Alejandro thanked God and dedicated his award to “all those who believed in me from day one.” He also shouted out his collaborators (and fellow nominees) Camilo and Emilia.

Tour of the Year: BTS
While they’re not a Latino act, BTS still made history at this year’s show by becoming the first Korean group to win a Latin Billboard Music Award. The group won Tour of the Year for their record-breaking “Map of The Soul” world tour, which grossed more than $200 million dollars and sold more than 2.6 million tickets. In their acceptance speech via video, BTS thanked their fans (aka ARMY) for their support.

Conclusion

The Latin Billboard Music Awards 2021 took place on Thursday, October 25 and celebrated the top Latin musicians of the year. The show was hosted by actor Eugenio Derbez and was broadcast live on Telemundo from the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

The big winner of the night was Ozuna, who took home nine awards, including Top Artist of the Year. Other winners included J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Ricky Martin, and more.
