The Chainsmokers are an American electronic dance music duo consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall. The song “#SELFIE”, was released on December 18, 2013. As of July 2014, the song has peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song is included on the duo’s EP, Bouquet.

“Animals” by Martin Garrix

Martin Garrix’s “Animals” was one of the biggest electronic songs of 2014. The catchy, bass-heavy track was a mainstay on dance floors and radio stations around the world.

“Boom Clap” by Charli XCX

“Boom Clap” is a song by English singer Charli XCX, released as the second single from her second studio album, Sucker (2014). Written and produced by Fred Ball, the song was leaked online in early April 2014 before being officially released on 18 May. Critical reception of “Boom Clap” was positive, with many critics complimenting its production and Charli XCX’s vocals. The song achieved commercial success worldwide, peaking at number six on the UK Singles Chart and number eight on the US Billboard Hot 100.

“Fade” by Kanye West

“Fade” is a song by American rapper Kanye West, released as the lead single from his seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo (2016). The song features vocals from Post Malone and Ty Dolla Sign. It was produced by West, Mike Dean, Cosmic Kelly Gosslin, and Francis Starlite of Francis and the Lights. “Fade” peaked at number 44 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The song received positive reviews from critics, who praised the song’s production and called it a return to form for West.

“I Got U” by Duke Dumont

Duke Dumont’s “I Got U” was one of the best electronic songs of 2014. The song peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.

“Jungle” by X Ambassadors

Jungle is a song by American rock band X Ambassadors. It was released on June 3, 2014 as the lead single from their debut album, VHS. The song was written by band members Sam Harris and Casey Harris, along with artists Jamie N Commons and Alex Ebert.

The song became a sleeper hit, reaching the top 10 in several countries including the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. In the US, it peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Latch” is a song by English electronic duo Disclosure, released as the third single from their debut studio album, Settle (2013). The song features vocals from Sam Smith. It peaked at number 11 on the UK Singles Chart. In December 2013, Pitchfork Media ranked “Latch” at number 80 on its list of The 100 Best Songs of 2013

“Lean On” by Major Lazer

“Lean On” is a song recorded by Jamaican electronic music group Major Lazer and French record label Moombahton. The song was released on March 2, 2015, through Mad Decent, and is the lead single from Major Lazer’s third studio album, Peace Is the Mission (2015). The song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Major Lazer collaborated with Danish singer MØ and producer DJ Snake for the song.

“Lean On” was produced by Major Lazer and DJ Snake, and written by MØ, Diplo, Jr Blender, and DJ snake. The song was first uploaded to SoundCloud on March 2nd of 2015, where it quickly garnered attention from music bloggers and online publications. The song interpolates a sample from the 1992 Dutch eurodance song “Baby Let Me Kiss You” by Fulanito.

The official remix package for “Lean On” was released on June 1st, 2015, and featured remixes from twenty-one different artists including Valentino Khan, Ookay,hip hop group henry fong. “Lean On” is a trap-influenced song with elements of electronic and pop music.

“Prayer in C” by Lilly Wood & The Prick

This amazing song was released in 2014 and has received a lot of attention and accolades. The song is an electronic music composition by French duo Lilly Wood & The Prick, consisting of Nili Hadida and Benjamin Cotto. The song was written by Hadida and produced by Cotto. It uses a sample of the 1993 song “Prayer in C” by French rock band Yahowa 13.

“Take Me to Church” by Hozier

Hozier’s “Take Me to Church” was one of the most popular songs of 2014, and it’s easy to see why. The song is a soulful and moving ode to love and religion, with a powerful chorus that will stay with you long after the song is over.
