The Meeting House Chamber Music Festival started in 2006 as a way to bring classical music to the small town of Newmarket, New Hampshire. The festival was the brainchild of two local music lovers, John and Cynthia Carey, who wanted to share their love of chamber music with their community.

Who are the founders?
The Meeting House Chamber Music Festival was founded in 2006 by Artistic Director Aisslinn Nosky and her husband, Producer Graham Mitchell. Aisslinn is a violinist and Graham is a violist, and they met while studying music at the University of Toronto.
After completing their degrees, they moved to New York City to pursue their careers in music. They quickly realized that there was a need for a chamber music festival in Toronto, and so they founded the Meeting House Chamber Music Festival.
The festival has grown considerably since its humble beginnings, and it now features some of the world’s finest chamber musicians.
