The first MEDMA event was a small party at a local club, and it was such a success that the group decided to make it an annual event.

MEDMA has grown exponentially over the past 25 years, and is now one of the largest and most popular electronic music festivals in the world. Every year, thousands of people flock to Detroit for the chance to see some of the biggest names in EDM perform.

In addition to promoting and hosting events, MEDMA also works to educate the public about EDM culture and its history. The organization offers workshops and classes on topics like DJing, production, and dance music history, and they also operate a record label that releases music by up-and-coming producers.

The Michigan Electronic Dance Music Association’s Committees

The purpose of the Michigan Electronic Dance Music Association’s committees is to help plan and execute events, as well as to develop and maintain relationships with others in the electronic dance music industry. There are currently four committees: Promotions, Communications, Fundraising, and Outreach.

The Promotions Committee is responsible for planning and executing promotional activities forMEDMA and its events. This includes creating and distributing Flyers and posters, working with the press (including social media outlets), and hanging banners.

The Communications Committee is responsible for maintaining MEDMA’s website, managing the organization’s social media accounts, writing and distributing press releases, assessing advertising opportunities, and handling all other public relations tasks.

The Fundraising Committee is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies. This includes researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, coordinating benefit events, and soliciting donations from businesses and individuals.

The Outreach Committee is responsible for developing relationships with other organizations in the electronic dance music industry. This includes attending shows and festivals, connecting with other promoters and educators, collaborating on events,and sharing resources.
