The festival takes place in the picturesque town of Midland, Michigan, USA, nestled in the heart of the Great Lakes.

Now in its 34th year, the Midland Folk Music Festival is one of the longest-running folk festivals in the United States. The festival features four days of music, dance, and storytelling on ten stages, as well as Workshops, Jam Sessions, Open Mics, and a wide variety of food and craft vendors.

With over 100 performers representing 20+ countries, the Midland Folk Music Festival is one of the most diverse and inclusive folk festivals in North America. Whether you’re a seasoned folk music fan or just getting started, there’s something for everyone at the Midland Folk Music Festival!

CAMPING & FACILITIES:
Camping is available on a first come, first served basis. Water and electric hookups are limited, so please come prepared. The campground will open at noon on Thursday, August 12th and close at noon on Monday, August 16th.

Pets are not allowed in the campgrounds or on the festival grounds. Service animals are welcome with prior approval from the festival office. Please see our Service Animal Policy for more information.

PARKING:
Parking is free and available on a first come, first served basis. Handicap parking is available near the main gate. Golf cart parking is available in designated areas only.

GENERAL RULES:
-No outside food or drink is allowed into the festival grounds. You may bring an empty water bottle to fill at one of our water stations. -Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. -Alcohol is only permitted in designated areas with a valid ID 21+. -Tailgating is not permitted in the parking areas. -Please be respectful of your fellow festival goers and our lovely town of Midland!

The Midland Folk Music Festival is a free event, however, we do ask for a £2 per day donation to help cover our costs. You can also buy a season ticket in advance for £10 which gives you access to all four days of the festival.
