Morgen was a psychedelic rock band from New York City, active in the late 1960s and early 1970s. The band released two albums, Love (1969) and Peace (1971). “Love” is a song from their debut album, Love. The lyrics were written by band member Michael Fennelly and the music was composed by Fennelly and bandmate Jerry Goldstein.

Introduction

Morgen was a psychedelic rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1968. The band was originally composed of singer/guitarist Jeff Cotton, keyboardist Glenn connors, bassist Stan Vitale, and drummer Joey Newman. by 1969, the band had added guitarist Mike Stuart to their lineup and released their debut album, Love, on the Tower Records label.

The album was not a commercial success and the band broke up shortly after its release. However, Love has since come to be regarded as a classic of the psychedelic rock genre, and has been cited as an influence by such bands as Nirvana, Beck, and The Flaming Lips.
