The Best in Heavy Metal

Metalcore

Mountain King Music is the best in heavy metal. We specialize in metalcore, a subgenre of heavy metal that combines elements of hardcore punk and extreme metal. Metalcore is characterized by its aggressive, urgent sound and its use of breakdowns (heavy, repetitive riffing).

If you’re a fan of metalcore, you’ll love our releases. We’ve got something for everyone, from the thrash-y sounds of early Metallica to the more modern, progressive sounds of bands like Parkway Drive. So check us out today and see what all the fuss is about!

Deathcore

Deathcore is a subgenre of heavy metal that combines the speed and aggression of death metal with the breakdowns and brutal riffs of hardcore punk. It first emerged in the early 2000s, and quickly became one of the most popular subgenres of heavy metal.

Deathcore bands are often characterized by low, guttural vocals, down-tuned guitars, fast drumming, and aggressive lyrics. Many deathcore bands also incorporate elements of other genres into their music, such as black metal, doom metal, sludge metal, and even industrial metal.

The term “deathcore” was first coined by Josh Grabelle, the owner of Ferret Music (one of the first labels to sign deathcore bands), in an interview with Kerrang! magazine in 2004. He used it to describe a new style of music that was “a cross between death metal and hardcore punk”.

Since then, deathcore has become one of the most popular genres of heavy metal, with bands like Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Carnifex, Oceano, and Behemoth achieving mainstream success. If you’re a fan of heavy music, then you owe it to yourself to check out some deathcore!

Grindcore

Grindcore is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal music that originated in the late 1980s. Grindcore is characterized by a very fast tempo, low-pitched growling vocals, and heavily distorted guitars. The genre is often associated with violence and lyrical themes of death, despair, and misery. Grindcore bands are typically very short-lived, with many only releasing one or two albums before disbanding.

The Future of Heavy Metal

King Mountain Music is at the forefront of the heavy metal scene, with their progressive and innovative approach to the genre. They have pushed the boundaries of what is possible with metal, and have created a sound that is truly unique. Their passion for the music is evident in their live performances, which are one of a kind.

New bands to watch

As heavy metal continues to evolve, there are a number of new bands that are making a name for themselves in the metal world. Here are just a few of the up-and-coming bands that you should keep an eye on in the coming years.

Code Orange
This hardcore punk band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is quickly making a name for themselves with their intense live shows and powerful albums. Their 2016 album “Forever” was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance, and they show no signs of slowing down.

High on Fire
This stoner metal band from Oakland, California has been around since 1998, but they continue to release great music and put on amazing live shows. Their most recent album, “Electric Messiah”, was released in 2018 and was named one of the best metal albums of the year by Rolling Stone magazine.

Pallbearer
This doom metal band from Little Rock, Arkansas has been impressing fans and critics alike since their formation in 2008. They have released three critically acclaimed albums, and their most recent album, “Heartless”, was named one of the best metal albums of 2017 by Pitchfork magazine.

The changing sound of metal

Over the years, the sound of heavy metal has changed quite a bit. Early metal bands were influenced by hard rock and blues, resulting in a heavier sound. As the years went on, metal began to diverge into subgenres, each with its own distinct sound. Today, there are dozens of different metal subgenres, ranging from black metal to deathcore.

Asmetal continues to evolve, we can expect to see even more diversification in the future. New subgenres are constantly emerging, and existing ones are constantly evolving. We may even see some genres merge or split apart as they adopt new influences and experiment with new sounds.

Regardless of where it’s heading, one thing is for sure: heavy metal is here to stay. So crank up the volume and headbang your heart out!
