The Beastie Boys were an American hip hop group from New York City, formed in 1981. The group comprised Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz, Michael “Mike D” Diamond, and Adam “MCA” Yauch. They are considered one of the most influential groups in the history of hip hop.

The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2012.
