The Only SEO Checklist You Need

As a musician, you know how important it is to get your music out there. You also know that the better your SEO, the more likely people are to find you. Luckily, we’ve put together an SEO checklist just for musicians.

Set up GSC and Bing Webmaster tools

If you want to rank in Google, you need to let them know your website exists. The best way to do this is to set up Google Search Console (GSC) and Bing Webmaster tools and submit your sitemap. These tools will help Google (and Bing) index your website so they can start ranking your pages.

To set up GSC, go to https://search.google.com/search-console/about and click on the “+ Add a property” button. Then, just follow the instructions.

For Bing Webmaster tools, go to https://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster and sign in with your Microsoft account (or create one). Once you’re signed in, just follow the instructions to add your website.

Set up Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a vital tool for understanding how your website is performing, and it’s essential for any SEO effort.Google Analytics lets you track where your website traffic is coming from, what pages are popular, how long people stay on your site, and much more. Setting up Google Analytics is relatively simple, but there are a few steps you need to take to make sure it’s done properly.

1. Create a Google Analytics account
If you don’t already have a Google Analytics account, the first step is to create one. You can do this by visiting https://analytics.google.com/ and clicking “Create an account” in the top right-hand corner.

2. Get your Tracking ID
Once you’ve created your account, you’ll be given a Tracking ID. This is a code that looks something like UA-XXXXXXX-X, and you’ll need to add it to your website in order to track your data.

3. Add the Tracking ID to your website
There are a few different ways to add your Tracking ID to your website, but the easiest way is to use a plugin like MonsterInsights or GA Google Analytics. These plugins will automatically add the Tracking ID to your website without you having to edit any code.

4. Check that the Tracking ID is working properly
Once you’ve added the Tracking ID to your website, it’s important to check that it’s working properly. The easiest way to do this is to use the Realtime report in Google Analytics. This report will show you how many people are currently on your site, and if the Tracking ID is working properly, you should see a number in the “Active Users” column.

Keyword Research

You can find the sheet music for “My Soul Has Been Anchored in the Lord” by doing a simple keyword search. Just type in “My Soul Has Been Anchored in the Lord sheet music” and you should be able to find a few good results. If you’re looking for more specific results, you can add the word “gospel” to your search. This should help you find the sheet music you’re looking for.

Identify your competitors

In order to identify your competitors, you will need to think about who else is selling sheet music for the gospel song, “My Soul Has Been Anchored in the Lord.” You can find this information by doing a simple Google search and looking at the results that come up on the first page of the search engine results. Once you have identified your competitors, you will need to take a look at their websites and see what keywords they are targeting. You can also use a tool like Google AdWords Keyword Planner to help you with this research.

Conduct a keyword gap analysis

When you’re planning your SEO strategy, it’s important to know which keywords your competitors are targeting that you aren’t. This will help you identify areas where you can compete, and also give you insight into why your competitor is outranking you.

A keyword gap analysis is a simple way to compare your keyword list to your competitors’ lists, and identify the gaps. This can be done using a spreadsheet program like Excel or Google Sheets. Simply create a list of all the keywords you want to target, and then do the same for your two main competitors. Once you have all three lists, use a VLOOKUP function to compare the lists and find the gaps.

| My keywords | Competitor 1 | Competitor 2 |
| — | — | — |
| soul | soul | soulful music |
| anchor | anchored in the Lord | soulful musicThis will help you identify areas where you can compete, and also give you insight into why your competitor is outranking you. Find your main ‘money’ keywords

Before you start any keyword research, it’s important to understand what your ‘money’ keywords are. These are the terms that you want to rank for in search engines, as they will be the ones that drive the most traffic (and hopefully sales) to your site.

To find your money keywords, start by brainstorming a list of terms that are relevant to your business or website. Once you have a good initial list, you can use a keyword research tool like Google AdWords Keyword Planner or Moz Keyword Explorer to get more ideas and get detailed information on search volume and competition for each keyword.

Once you have a good list of keywords, you can start optimizing your site for these terms by including them in your content, titles, and meta tags. You can also use pay-per-click advertising to get your money keywords in front of searchers immediately.

Technical SEO

Leverage “Inspect URL” feature in GSC

You can use the “Inspect URL” feature in GSC to test whether Googlebot can access your pages. This is useful for identifying and debugging potential issues with your website that might be preventing Googlebot from crawling and indexing your content.

Ensure your website is mobile-friendly

Google has said that 61% of users are unlikely to return to a mobile site they had trouble accessing and 40% visit a competitor’s site instead (Source: Think With Google). So, if your website isn’t mobile-friendly, you could be missing out on a huge number of potential customers.

There are a few different ways to make sure your website is mobile-friendly:
-You can use responsive design, which means that your website will automatically resize to fit the screen it’s being viewed on.
-You can create a separate mobile version of your website. This is sometimes also called a “mobile-optimized” or “mobile- friendly” website.
-You can use dynamic serving, which means that your server will detect the type of device that is trying to access your site and serve up the appropriate version.

Whichever approach you choose, there are a few key elements that you should always include:
-Make sure your text is easy to read by using large fonts and high contrast colors.
-KISS – Keep It Simple Stupid. Don’t try to cram too much content onto one page. Mobile users have shorter attention spans, so make sure your content is easy to scan and get the point across quickly. Use headings, bullet points and white space to break up your content and make it easier to read.
-Make sure your buttons and links are big enough to be clicked on without accidentally clicking on something else. no one likes fat finger syndrome!
-Ensure that your website loads quickly. Mobile users are often on the go and don’t have time to wait around for a slow website to load. If your website takes forever to load, they will likely just give up and go somewhere else

Check your site’s loading speed

No matter how great your product, service, or content is, if your site takes too long to load, people will quickly click away. In fact, according to Kissmetrics, 40% of web users abandon a website that takes more than 3 seconds to load. That’s why it’s critical to check your site’s loading speed and make sure it’s as fast as possible.

There are a number of tools you can use to test your site’s loading speed, but our favorite is Google PageSpeed Insights. Just enter your URL and Google will provide you with a report detailing how well your site performs on both mobile and desktop devices. The report will also offer suggestions on how you can improve your site’s performance.

On-page and Content

Why is it called sheet music? Sheet music is a written representation of music. This notation can be used for the notation of music from any genre, be it classical, Jazz, blues, or pop music. The main difference between sheet music and tablature is that sheet music is written in standard notation form while tablature is a fretboard diagram.

Fix duplicate, missing, and truncated title tags

On-page and Content – (My Soul Has Been Anchored in the Lord – Sheet Music)

1. Make sure that all of your title tags are unique and descriptive.
2. Meta tags should be included in all of your web pages, and they should accurately describe the page’s content.
3. Be sure to use keyword-rich titles and descriptions to help improve your site’s search engine optimization.
4. Always proofread your titles and descriptions before publishing them online.

Find and fix duplicate or missing meta descriptions

When it comes to on-page and content, one of the most important things you can do is ensure that all of your meta descriptions are unique and accurate. This may seem like a small detail, but it can make a big difference in how your pages rank in search results.

To find and fix duplicate or missing meta descriptions, simply do a search for your site in Google. Then, click on the “All” tab at the top of the search results page. From there, you will be able to see a list of all the pages on your site that are indexed by Google.

Next, scroll through the list and look for any pages that have either duplicate or missing meta descriptions. If you find any, simply edit the page and add or update the meta description as needed. This may take some time, but it will be well worth it in the end.

Find and fix multiple H1 tags

If you find multiple H1 tags on a page, you’ll want to fix them. It’s possible that the page is using more than one H1 tag for stylistic purposes, but it’s more likely that there is a mistake.

The H1 tag should be used to indicate the main heading of a page. If there are multiple H1 tags on a page, it can be confusing for users and search engines.

To fix this issue, review the page content and determine which H1 tag is the most appropriate for the page. Remove any unnecessary H1 tags, and make sure that the remaining H1 tag accurately reflects the main topic of the page.

Off-Page SEO

Off-page SEO is the process of optimizing a website for better search engine rankings. It involves improving the quantity and quality of inbound links, as well as social media engagement. By doing this, you can increase your chances of getting higher up in the search engine results pages (SERPs).

One of the most important aspects of any off-page SEO campaign is link building. In order to rank higher in the SERPs, you need to have high-quality links pointing back to your website. However, link building is not easy. It takes a lot of time and effort to get other websites to link back to yours.

One way to make the link building process easier is to analyze your competitor’s link profile. This will give you an idea of which websites are linking back to them, and you can then try to get those same websites to link back to you.

To do this, you can use a tool like Moz’s Open Site Explorer or Majestic’s Site Explorer. Simply enter your competitor’s URL into the tool and it will show you all of the websites that are linking back to them. You can then contact those websites and try to get them to link back to you as well.

Off-page SEO refers to all of the activities that you can do outside of your own website to help improve your search engine rankings. One important aspect of off-page SEO is link building, or the process of getting other websites to link to your site.

One way to identify opportunities for link building is to conduct a link intersect analysis. This involves finding websites that are linking to your competitors but not to you. You can then reach out to these websites and ask them to consider linking to your site as well.

One of the most effective ways to improve your own SEO is to target your competitor’s broken backlinks. Suppose your competitor has a high-ranking website with many inbound links. But what if some of those inbound links are broken? That’s where you come in.

By finding and fixing those broken links, you can improve your own SEO in two ways. First, you can earn some of the link juice that was previously going to your competitor’s website. Second, you can improve the user experience of anyone who clicks on one of those links, which could lead to more traffic for you.

To find broken links on your competitor’s website, you can use a tool like Monitor Backlinks. Just enter your competitor’s URL and click “Check.” You’ll see a list of all the broken links on their website, along with data on where they’re located and how many times they’ve been shared.

Once you’ve found some broken links, reach out to the website owners and let them know. In most cases, they’ll be happy to fix the link and you’ll be on your way to improved SEO!
