The 1975

The 1975 is a British rock band from Manchester. The group consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Matthew Healy, bassist Ross MacDonald, drummer George Daniel, and lead guitarist Adam Hann. The band’s debut album, released in September 2013, earned them a Mercury Prize nomination and peaked at number one on the UK Albums Chart. Their second album was released in 2016 and topped the charts in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The Paper Kites

The Paper Kites are an Australian indie rock band that formed in 2010. The band consists of Sam Bentley, Taylor Lancaster, Christina Lacy, Sam Murray, and Nate Henise. The Paper Kites have released three studio albums, twelvefour (2015), twelvefour (Wake Up), and On the Train Ride Home (2018).

The band’s music has been featured in several popular television shows, includingGrey’s Anatomy, Parenthood, One Tree Hill, and The Vampire Diaries. The Paper Kites were also featured on an episode of MTV’s Catfish in 2012.

The band has toured extensively throughout Australia, the United States, and Europe.

The Maine

The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona, formed in 2007. The band’s first release, the EP Stay Up, Get Down was released in late 2007, and their full-length album Can’t Stop Won’t Stop was released on July 8, 2008. The Maine was signed to Fearless Records in December 2007 and rose to fame in 2008 with the success of their debut album. The band’s second album, Black & White, debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 and at No. 1 on the Alternative Songs chart. The first single off the record “Inside of You” peaked at No. 28 on Alternative Songs and No. 18 on Hot Modern Rock Tracks.[1] On March 31st, 2010, The Maine released their third album Pioneer which peaked inside the top 40 at No. 36 on Billboard 200.[2] “Inside of You” became the band’s highest charting song after it reached No. 2 on the Alternative Songs chart in 2011.[3]

On May 23rd, 2011 according to frontman John O’Callaghan’s twitter feed,[4] writing for a fourth studio album had begun and just under two months later on July 12th he tweeted that recording would commence August 1st.[5][6] On September 12th it was revealed that drummer Pat Kirch would be sitting out recording sessions for the next record due to an arm injury he had received while skateboarding; friend and touring drummer J-Rod would be filling in during his absence.[7] On October 25th O’Callaghan announced via twitter that keyboardist Jared Monaco had also amicably left the band mid-recording and would not be appearing on their fourth studio effort (although he did finish playing keyboards/piano parts already recorded prior to his departure).[8][9]

The Maine’s fourth studio album Forever Halloween was released on June 4th 2013[10], debuting at #3 on Billboard 200 with 34,000 copies sold in its first week.[11]

Hailing from Manchester, England, The 1975 is an alt-rock band that has been making waves in the music scene since their formation in 2002. The band consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Matthew Healy, bassist Ross MacDonald, drummer George Daniel, and guitarist Adam Hann.

The group’s name is derived from a Jack Kerouac beat poetry book titled On the Road. Their debut self-titled album was released in 2013 to critical acclaim, reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album included the hits “Chocolate” and “Girls”.

The band’s sophomore album, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It, was released in 2016 to even greater success. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and number two on the Billboard 200 in the United States. The album included the singles “Love Me” and “Somebody Else”.

The Paper Kites

The Paper Kites are an Australian indie rock group that formed in 2010. The band consists of Sam Bentley, Christina Lacy, David Powys, Sam Rasmussen, and Josh Bentley. Their debut album, States, was released in 2012 and peaked at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart. The lead single from the album, ” Bloom “, reached number two on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association.

The Maine is an American rock band from Tempe, Arizona, formed in 2007. On June 4th 2013, The Maine announced they had signed with RED MUSIC (Sony Music) and would be releasing a new single “Love & Drugs” on June 18th as well as announcing a co-headlining tour with Mayday Parade.[10][11] On October 8th, 2013 – exactly one month before their fourth album release – The Maine surprise released a 5 track EP titled Imaginary Numbers featuring two brand new songs (“Sad Songs”), two acoustic versions of fan favorites (“My Heroine” and “Forever Halloween”), as well as an instrumental track titled “Maple,” which was used in a Campgrounds digital short for MTVu.[12] On October 22nd – Imaginary Numbers’ physical release date – Forever Halloween was announced as iTunes’ Single of the Week, making all tracks free to download for one week.[13] Forever Halloween debuted at no. 6 on Billboard Heatseekers Albums[14] and no. 24 on Top Alternative Albums.[15]

The band’s second album I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It was released on 26 February 2016, to critical acclaim. The Paper Kites

The Paper Kites is an Australian indie folk-rock band that formed in 2010. The band consists of Sam Bentley, Christina Lacy, David Powys, Sam Nativelle, and Josh Bentley. The group has released three studio albums, twelvefour (2015), States (2017) and On the Train Ride Home (2018).

The Paper Kites’ sound has been described as “wistful and beautiful” with “plenty of twinkling guitars”. Their music has been featured in television shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill, and Switched at Birth. The band has toured extensively throughout Australia, North America, and Europe.

The Maine
