Reggaeton

Reggaeton is a style of music that originated in Puerto Rico in the early 1990s. The music is a blend of Caribbean, Latin American, and hip hop music. Reggaeton is known for its catchy rhythms and sexually explicit lyrics. The music is popular in Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States.

J Balvin

Reggaeton is a widely popular type of Latin club music that originated in Puerto Rico in the late 1990s. The genre is characterized by its heavy use of electronic dance music (EDM) elements, such as synthesizers and drum machines, as well as hip hop and Latin American influences. Reggaeton songs often have catchy hooks and are often very danceable.

One of the most popular reggaeton artists today is J Balvin. Born in Colombia, J Balvin has quickly become one of the biggest names in reggaeton with his hits “Mi Gente” and “Safari.” He is known for his unique style which blends reggaeton with trap and R&B.

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny is a trap and reggaeton singer from Puerto Rico. His real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio. He rose to fame after the success of his single “Soy Peor”, and has since released several hit songs, including “Dame Tu Cosita”, “Mia”, and “I Like It”. Bad Bunny has collaborated with a number of other artists, including J Balvin, Drake, and Cardi B.

Bachata

Bachata is a genre of Latin American music that originated in the Dominican Republic in the early 1960s. It is a popular style of music in the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. Bachata is typically played with guitars, bongos, and maracas. The lyrics are typically about love, heartbreak, and relationships.

Romeo Santos

Romeo Santos is a Dominican singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He rose to fame as a member of the bachata group Aventura. After the group separated in 2009, Santos pursued a solo career. His first two albums, Formula, Vol. 1 and Formula, Vol. 2, are among the best-selling bachata albums of all time. Romeo Santos has won numerous awards, including three Latin Grammy Awards and sixteen Premio Lo Nuestro Awards. He is also the recipient of four BMI Songwriter awards for his composition of “Obsesión”.

Aventura

Aventura is a Dominican-American bachata band that originally formed in The Bronx, New York in 1994. The group is composed of singer-songwriter Anthony “Romeo” Santos and former members Henry Santos Jeter, Lenny Santos, and Max Santos. Aventura broke into the mainstream bachata market with their hit song “Obsesión”, which reached number one in Italy, Russia, Turkey and on the Billboard Latin Songs chart in the United States.

The group achieved global success with their next two singles, “Eres mía” and “Hasta que te conocí”, both of which topped the Latin Songs chart. Aventura has released seven studio albums, five of which have peaked at number one on the US Billboard Tropical Albums chart. They have also toured extensively, performing in a number of US cities as well as Europe and Latin America.

Aventura announced their disbandment in 2011, but later reunited in 2012 for a series of concerts at Madison Square Garden. In February 2014, they announced they would be embarking on a world tour to support their latest album, The Last.

Salsa

Salsa is a genre of music that originated in the Cuban region of Oriente. The style is a mix of Cuban son and Afro-Cuban rumba, with a bit of Spanish and African influence. The music is generally fast-paced and often has a catchy, infectious beat. Salsa is popular in many Latin American countries and the United States.

Marc Anthony

Marc Anthony is a superstar in the salsa world. He’s been nominated for numerous Grammy Awards and has won multiple Latin Grammy Awards. His music is a mix of traditional salsa, Latin pop, and even some hip-hop. He’s considered one of the pioneers of “salsa romantica,” a subgenre of salsa that focuses on love songs.

Willie Colón

Willie Colón was born in the South Bronx to Puerto Rican parents. He is a trombone player, singer, composer, bandleader, and actor. His musical style is a fusion of salsa and other Latin American styles such as cumbia, bomba, and merengue with jazz and R&B influences. He has recorded over 70 albums. Some of his most popular songs include “La Banda del Carajo,” “El Malo,” “El Gran Varon,” “No Me Digas Que Te Vas,” and “Havana Blues.”
