It was serves as the lead single from both projects. “All About That Bass” is a doo-wop and contemporary R&B song with influences of country music. The lyrics trainor wrote for the song revolve around the theme of body confidence. The song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for eight consecutive weeks and spent a record-setting 19 weeks in the top 10, becoming both Trainor’s and Kadish’s first number one hit as songwriters.

“Take Me to Church” by Hozier

This Irish singer’s perfectly-produced song about a man’s love for a woman is also a love letter to religion, and a middle finger to the Catholic Church’s stance on homosexuality. It’s catchy, anthemic, and gorgeous, with one of the year’s best video treatments to boot.
