The Psychedelic Furs- “Love My Way”

The Psychedelic Furs are an English rock band founded in 1977. The mainstay of the band since its formation has been vocalist Richard Butler and bassist Tim Butler. The Psychedelic Furs’ music went through several phases, from an initially austere art rock sound, to later touching on new wave and hard rock.

Their best-known hits include “Love My Way”, “Heartbreak Beat”, and “Pretty in Pink”. The latter was used as the title song for the John Hughes film Pretty in Pink (1986). “Love My Way” was reworked for television commercials in the 2010s, adding vocals by Mindy Cohn of The Facts of Life fame.

Siouxsie and the Banshees- “Kiss Them for Me”

Veteran goth-rockers Siouxsie and the Banshees returned in 1991 with “Kiss Them for Me”, the lead single from their 10th studio album, Superstition. The upbeat, psychedelic track was a major hit in the band’s native UK, peaking at #3 on the UK Singles Chart.

The Stone Roses- “Fool’s Gold”

The Stone Roses are an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1983. They were one of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement that was active during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The band’s most notable lineup consists of lead singer Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Mani Mounfield, and drummer Reni Wren. The band released their debut album The Stone Roses in 1989. The album was a commercial and critical success, reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart and receiving critical acclaim from music critics.

“Fool’s Gold” is a song by the Stone Roses, released as a single in September 1989 from their self-titled debut album. The song was written by the band’s guitarist John Squire. It was released as a double A-side with “What the World Is Waiting For”. The song peaked at number 10 on the UK Singles Chart.

Primal Scream- “Loaded”

The Scottish rock band Primal Scream released their fifth studio album Vanishing Point in 1997. The record is a departure from the band’s earlier work, with a more experimental and psychedelic sound. The album’s opening track, “Loaded”, is a cover of a song by the American rock band Loaded.
