“Sommerfugl” by A-ha

A-ha is a Norwegian pop band formed in Oslo in 1984. The band members are Morten Harket (vocals), Magne Furuholmen (keyboards) and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (guitars). The group rose to fame with their debut album, Hunting High and Low, in 1985. “Sommerfugl” (“Butterfly”) is a song from A-ha’s fourth studio album, Memorial Beach. The song was released as a single in Norway in 1992 and peaked at number two on the Norwegian Singles Chart.

“Mitt lille land” by Erik Bye

Erik Bye (1923 – 2004) was a Norwegian broadcaster, singer, and songwriter. He was born in Ålesund and is best known for his radio show “Norgesglasset” (The Norwegian Hour), which he hosted for almost 40 years. He also wrote and sang many songs, some of which have become Norwegian classics.

One of his most famous songs is “Mitt lille land” (My Little Country), which is a love letter to Norway. The song has been covered by many other artists, including Nora Brockstedt, Alf Prøysen, and Odd Nordstoga.

“Norge i rødt, hvitt og blått” by Hellbillies

Hellbillies is a Norwegian country rock band, formed in 1986 in the village of Ål in Hallingdal. The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Lars Lønning (b. 1961), fiddle player Ola Bremnes (b. 1968), upright bassist Øyvind “Snake”Farmen(b. 1966) and drummer Svein Dag Hauge (b. 1962).

The band’s name is a play on words of the American country rock group The Byrds and the Norwegian word for a hillbilly, “hellbillie”. The group’s musical style is a mix of country, rock and roll, folk and blues. They are known for their distinctive three-part harmony singing style.

The band has released eleven studio albums, two live albums and two compilations.Their debut album, Norge i rødt, hvitt og blått was released in 1992 and reached number four on the Norwegian album chart. The album’s title track became a hit single in Norway, peaking at number two on the Norwegian singles chart.
