Ticket Information

All concerts are held in the Gary and Laura Maurer Concert Hall, unless otherwise noted. Doors open thirty minutes before show time. All seating is general admission.

Advance tickets can be purchased online or by phone at 773.728.6000.

Tickets go on sale to the general public if still available, one hour before show time at the box office window only.

There is a maximum of four tickets per person per concert for phone and walk-up sales. There is no limit when buying online or in person at the box office window with cash or check

The Old Town School of Folk Music is a music school in Chicago, Illinois, USA, that teaches and promotes traditional folk music, dance and instruments from all over the world. It also sponsors folk music concerts at its 4545 N. Lincoln Avenue campus in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.

The Old Town School was founded in 1957 by musicians Frank Hamilton and Win Stracke. It was modeled on the European Volksschulen (folk schools), which were based on the philosophy that everyone could appreciate and benefit from learning music, regardless of age or ability. In its early years, the school offered music instruction for children and adults on evenings and weekends. It gradually expanded its programming to include more classes and concerts. today, the school offers more than 700 classes a week to students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
