All I Want For Christmas Is You- Mariah Carey

Christmas music comprises a variety of genres of music normally performed or heard around the Christmas season. By the 13th century, under the influence of Francis of Assisi, the concept of popular Christmas music began to take shape. “Coventry Carol” is a particularly well-known example of English Noel that has remained popular among schools and choirs to this day. The first recorded Christmas song may be “Corde natus ex Parentis” (“Of the Father’s love begotten”), which was popularized by ninth century Spanish Basque singer Esteban de Luca. . Other Christmas songs celebrate the Nativity, particularly “Silent Night”, while more recent additions celebrate Santa Claus, such as “Jingle Bells”.
