It’s been a tough year, but there’s always music to help us get through it. Here’s our list of the best pop songs of 2020.

This has been a difficult year in many ways, but music has provided us with some much-needed moments of joy. From Billie Eilish’s anthemic “everything i wanted” to Harry Styles’ upbeat “Watermelon Sugar,” there have been plenty of pop songs to help us get through 2020.

And while we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to this year just yet, we wanted to take a moment to look back at some of the best pop songs that came out in 2020. From catchy bops to heartfelt ballads, these are the songs that dominated our playlists this year.

“Yummy” is a song recorded by Canadian singer Justin Bieber. It was released on January 3, 2020, as the lead single from his upcoming fifth studio album, Changes. The song was written by Bieber, Ludwig Göransson and Jason “Poo Bear” Boyd, and produced by Göransson. Upon release, “Yummy” received mixed reviews from music critics.

“Stupid Love” by Lady Gaga

“Stupid Love” is a song recorded by American singer Lady Gaga. It was released as the lead single from her sixth studio album, Chromatica (2020), on February 28, 2020, through Interscope Records. The song was written and produced by Gaga with BloodPop® and Tchami. A dance-pop and electropop song with house elements, it has a synth-pop production accompanied by “throbbing” beats. Lyrically, it talks about the fundamentalness of love in human nature and how humanity is searching for it amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Rain on Me” is a song by American singers Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande. It was released on May 22, 2020, as the lead single from Gaga’s sixth studio album, Chromatica (2020). The song was written by Gaga, Grande, Rami Yacoub, Tchami, BloodPop®, and Burns. The track was produced by Burns. A dance-pop and electro-house song with elements of house and techno, it features synths, a pounding bassline and drum machines. Lyrically, the song is about self-acceptance and embracing duality.

“Rain on Me” received critical acclaim from music critics. Many praised Gaga and Grande’s vocal performances, as well as the song’s production and catchiness. The single debuted at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming Gaga’s fifth chart-topper and Grande’s fourth. The song was written by JYP Entertainment founder and producer Park Jin-young, with composition by German production team Moonshine.

The song is an uptempo synth-pop track with influences of eurodance andbubblegum pop. The lyrics talk about being addicted to something or someone and not being able to stop oneself. The music video was shot in black and white and features the members dancing in various locations around a city.

“I Can’t Stop Me” received positive reviews from music critics, who praised the song’s production and the group’s vocal performance.
