The early 2000s were a great time for psychedelic rock music. Some of the best bands of the genre emerged during this time, and they’re still going strong today. Here are the top psychedelic rock bands of the 2000s.

The White Stripes

The White Stripes are one of the most well-known psychedelic rock bands of the 2000s. The duo, made up of Jack White and Meg White, released their debut album in 1999 and their last album in 2007. They are known for their unique sound which combines elements of garage rock, punk rock, and blues.

The White Stripes were an American rock duo formed in 1997 in Detroit, Michigan. The group consisted of Jack White (songwriter, vocals, guitar, piano) and Meg White (drums and vocals). After releasing several singles and three albums within the Detroit music scene, The White Stripes rose to prominence in 2002 as part of the garage rock revival scene. Their successful and critically acclaimed eponymous album peaked at number one on Billboard 200.

The band recorded two more albums, Get Behind Me Satan (2005) and Icky Thump (2007),and dissolved in 2011 after Jack White announced that Meg was retiring from the group.
