Here are five great rock/folk bands that all have creative and unique music videos that are definitely worth watching!

The Avett Brothers – “Ain’t No Man”

The Avett Brothers are an American rock folk band from Concord, North Carolina. Formed in 2000, the group consists of brothers Scott Avett and Seth Avett, as well as Bob Crawford and Joe Kwon. Mike Marsh and Tania Elizabeth are touring members of the band. The band’s commercial breakthrough came with the release of their fourth album, I and Love and You, in 2009.

The Avett Brothers have released nine studio albums, four live albums, one extended play and one live concert film/documentary. Their tenth studio album True Sadness was released on June 24, 2016. “Ain’t No Man” is a single from that album.

The Head and the Heart – “All We Ever Knew”

The Head and the Heart is an indie folk band that formed in Seattle in 2009. The group’s self-titled debut album was released in 2011 and peaked at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s follow-up album, Let’s Be Still, was released in 2013 and peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Lumineers – “Cleopatra”

The Lumineers’ hauntingly beautiful “Cleopatra” has been one of the most popular songs of the past few years, and for good reason. The song’s lyrics are written in the voice of a woman who is reflecting on her life as she nears the end of it, and the music video does an excellent job of capturing that feeling.

The video tells the story of a woman who is living in a nursing home and has Alzheimer’s disease. As she looks back on her life, she remembers all the people and places that were important to her. Even though she can’t remember all the details anymore, she still knows that they were all important to her.

It’s a beautifully shot video that will make you emotional, but it’s also a great reminder of how important it is to cherish the memories we have with our loved ones.

Milky Chance – “Cocoon”

With their fifth music video in four years, German rock-folk band Milky Chance once again stuns with their creativity. “Cocoon” is a stop-motion work of art that took the band six weeks to shoot. The video tells the story of a caterpillar’s journey to becoming a butterfly, with each member of the band playing a different stage in the creature’s life cycle. The result is an entrancing and beautiful visual accompaniment to an already enchanting song.

Mumford & Sons – “Believe”

Formed in 2007, Mumford & Sons is a London-based rock folk band that consists of Marcus Mumford, Winston Marshall, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane. The band rose to fame with the release of their debut album Sigh No More in 2009 and have since released two more albums, Babel (2012) and Wilder Mind (2015).

Mumford & Sons is known for their use of banjo, double bass, acoustic guitar, and drums in their music, as well as their vocal harmonies. The band has won several awards, including a Grammy Award for Best Album of the Year for Babel in 2013.

The music video for “Believe” was released in October 2015 and was directed by Bison. The video features the band performing the song in a black-and-white setting with various visual effects superimposed over the footage.

The video received positive reviews from critics, who praised the visual effects and the band’s performance. “Believe” peaked at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).

Of Monsters and Men – “Little Talks”

“Little Talks” by Of Monsters and Men is a beautiful, anthemic song that will get stuck in your head for days. The video features the band performing in a dark forest, with ethereal creatures floating around them. It’s a perfect visual representation of the song’s uplifting and dreamlike quality.

The Paper Kites – “Bloom”

Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, The Paper Kites are a five-piece indie rock band that has been making waves since their formation in 2010. Comprised of Sam Bentley (lead vocals/guitar), Christina Lacy (bass/piano), David Powys (drums), Hannah Crofts (violin/keys) and Josh Bentley (guitar), the group has released three EPs and two full-length albums, with their most recent LP twelvefour receiving critical acclaim.

The Paper Kites are known for their beautiful and atmospheric sound, which is captured perfectly in their music video for “Bloom”. The black-and-white visual features the band performing in a range of stunning locations, from a snow-covered forest to an abandoned warehouse. The video is simple but effective, and the song itself is absolutely gorgeous – definitely worth a watch!

The Revivalists – “Wish I Knew You”

The Revivalists are a seven-piece rock band from New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. Formed in 2007, the group consists of Ed Williams (guitar), David Shaw (lead vocals), Zack Feinberg (guitar), George Gekas (bass guitar), Andrew Campanelli (drums), Michael Girardot (keyboard, trumpet) and Rob Ingraham (saxophone).

The Revivalists have released three studio albums: Take Good Care (2018), Men Against Mountains The Revivalists EP (2016) and City of Sound (2013). “Wish I Knew You” is a single from their album Take Good Care. The video features the band performing in various locations around New Orleans.

Vance Joy – “Riptide”

With a catchy ukulele intro and dreamy lyrics, “Riptide” by Vance Joy is the perfect summer song. The accompanying music video only adds to the easygoing vibe, following a day in the life of a young surfer as she hangs out with friends, goes for a swim, and enjoys the sunset.

The War on Drugs – “Holding On”
