We love rock music and the creators who make it! In this blog post, we’ll share some of our favorite rock music creators, from established legends to up-and-coming artists.

Jimi Hendrix- one of the most influential rock musicians of all time

There is no doubt that Jimi Hendrix is one of the most influential rock musicians of all time. His unique style of playing combined elements of blues, jazz, and rock and roll, and his performances were known for their showmanship and use of feedback and distortion. Hendrix was also a master of the guitar solo, and his work with the band The Jimi Hendrix Experience helped to popularize the use of the wah-wah pedal in rock music. Along with Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page, Hendrix is considered one of the most influential guitarists in history.

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in London in 1960. The line-up of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr led the band to be regarded as the foremost and most influential music band in history. With a sound rooted in skiffle and 1950s rock and roll, the group later utilised several genres, ranging from pop ballads to psychedelic rock, often incorporating classical and other elements into their music. They became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential act of the rock era.

Led Zeppelin- one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time

Few bands have had as much impact on rock music as Led Zeppelin. The band formed in London in 1968, and quickly rose to prominence with their debut album, which included the now-classic hits “Dazed and Confused” and “Good Times Bad Times.” Led Zeppelin went on to release a string of hugely successful albums over the next decade, cementing their place as one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time. Though the band officially disbanded in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham, their legacy continues to live on through their music, which has inspired generations of subsequent artists.

With more than 200 million records sold worldwide, Pink Floyd is one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time. Formed in London in 1965, the group is known for their progressive and psychedelic music, as well as their iconic artwork and stage performances.

The band was founded by Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, and Richard Wright. Barrett was the lead singer and guitarist for the group, and wrote many of their early hits including “ Arnold Layne” and “See Emily Play”. Waters took over as the primary songwriter after Barrett’s departure in 1968, and wrote several of their most iconic songs including “Money”, “Us and Them”, and “Another Brick in the Wall Part 2”.

Wright was the keyboardist for the band, and Mason was the drummer. Both Wright and Mason were also involved in the band’s songwriting (Wright co-wrote “Time” while Mason co-wrote “Echoes”). The four members of Pink Floyd were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

The Rolling Stones are one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time. Formed in London in 1962, the Stones originally consisted of lead singer Mick Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards, bassist Bill Wyman, drummer Charlie Watts, and keyboardist Ian Stewart. The band’s early material reflected the influence of blues artists such as Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry, and they quickly developed a reputation as a talented and hard-working live band.

In 1964, the Stones released their self-titled debut album, followed by the release of their second album,,the following year. The band’s popularity continued to grow throughout the late 1960s as they released a string of successful albums including(1967),(1968), and(1969). In 1969, the Stones embarked on their first American tour, which was marred by violence when fans rioted at several of their concerts.

During the 1970s, the Stones remained one of the most popular rock bands in the world despite lineup changes and personal problems within the band. They released a number of successful albums including(1971),(1972),(1973), and(1975). In 1976, Wyman left the band and was replaced by bassist Ronnie Wood. The following year, Stewart was fired from the band but continued to contribute to their recordings in an unofficial capacity.

In 1978, the Stones released what would become one of their most successful albums,, which featured the hit singles “Miss You” and “Start Me Up.” The 1980s saw a decline in the band’s popularity as disco and other musical genres became more popular than rock music. The Stones made a comeback in 1989 with their album,, which featured several hit singles including “Love Is Strong” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”

The Rolling Stones have continued to tour and release new music into the 21st century. In 2012, they celebrated their 50th anniversary with a series of concerts in London and New York City. In 2016, they released their latest album,. The Stones were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and continued to be revered as one of rock music’s most iconic bands.

The Who- one of the most influential rock bands of all time

The Who is an English rock band that was formed in London in 1964. The group consists of Roger Daltrey (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica), Pete Townshend (guitar, vocals, keyboards), John Entwistle (bass guitar, vocals) and Keith Moon (drums, percussion).

The Who is one of the most influential rock bands of all time. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2005. The group has sold over 100 million records worldwide.

The Who’s signature sound is a combination of Townshend’s powerful guitar playing and Daltrey’s dynamic lead vocals. Their hits include “My Generation,” “I Can’t Explain,” “Happy Jack,” “I Can See for Miles,” “pinball Wizard,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again” and “Who Are You.”

David Bowie- one of the most successful and influential rock musicians of all time

David Bowie was one of the most successful and influential rock musicians of all time. He was known for his innovative and experimental approach to music, as well as his flamboyant stage persona. Bowie’s career spanned more than five decades, and he released dozens of studio albums and singles. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

Queen- one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time

Queen is one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time. Formed in London in 1970, Queen quickly gained popularity with their over-the-top live performances and innovative songwriting. Queen’s classic lineup consisted of lead singer Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, drummer Roger Taylor, and bassist John Deacon.

AC/DC- one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time

AC/DC is one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time, selling more than 200 million records worldwide and playing to packed stadiums wherever they go. The band was formed in Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young, who recruited singer Bon Scott and bass player Mark Evans to complete the lineup.

The band’s debut album, High Voltage, was released in Australia in 1975 and internationally in 1976. It was followed by a string of hugely successful albums including Highway to Hell (1979), Back in Black (1980) and For Those About to Rock We Salute You (1981).

AC/DC’s signature sound is a unique combination of Angus Young’s hard-edged guitar riffs, Malcolm Young’s groovy rhythms, Bon Scott’s powerful vocals and Phil Rudd’s rock-solid drumming. This winning formula has made them one of the most popular and enduring rock bands of all time.

Nirvana- one of the most influential rock bands of all time

Nirvana was an American rock band formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987. It was founded by singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting and best-known being Dave Grohl, who joined the band in 1990.

Nirvana’s success popularized alternative rock, catapulting grunge to the mainstream in the early 1990s. They were described as founding “a generation’s musical, moral and aesthetic outlook”. Though they dissolved after only seven years and produced only three studio albums and seventeen singles, Nirvana has come to be regarded as one of the most influential bands of all time. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility in 2014.
