Intro

The Sarasota Music Festival (SMF), one of the nation’s premier summer classical music festivals, is teaming up with All Faiths Food Bank this year to help “give hunger the blues.” From now until June 9, donations of non-perishable food items or cash made to All Faiths Food Bank in support of the Sarasota Music Festival will be matched dollar for dollar by an anonymous donor, up to $10,000.

What is the Sarasota Music Fest?

The Sarasota Music Fest is a yearly event that occurs in Sarasota, Florida. The Music Fest focuses on giving hunger the blues through live music performances and food donations. The Fest works with local restaurants to provide meals for those in need, as well as to offer discounted meals for Music Fest attendees. The event also provides live music entertainment with a focus on blues performers. In addition to the live music, the Fest also offers workshops and activities for attendees of all ages.

What is the connection between the Sarasota Music Fest and hunger?

The Sarasota Music Festival is proud to be partnering with All Faiths Food Bank for the second year in a row to help fight hunger in our community. For every ticket sold to the festival, $1 will be donated to All Faiths Food Bank.

There are many ways to get involved, and every contribution makes a difference. Here are some ideas:

-Make a monetary donation to our partners at FoodBank of Southwest Florida or All Faiths Food Bank.
-Bring non-perishable food items to any of the festival concerts.
-Volunteer your time at a local food bank or soup kitchen.
-Educate yourself and others about hunger and poverty in our community.
-Raise awareness by sharing this information with your friends and family.

Thank you for your support! Together, we can make a difference.

Conclusion

We would like to thank all of the volunteers, musicians, and organizers who helped make Sarasota Music Fest Giving Hunger the Blues such a success! With your help, we were able to raise over $10,000 and collect 2,000 pounds of food donations to benefit the Sarasota County Interfaith Food Bank.

None of this would have been possible without the support of our community. Thank you for coming together to fight hunger in Sarasota County!
