Character Select Music in Soul Calibur 2

There are a lot of great character select tracks in Soul Calibur 2, but which ones are the best? Here are a few of our favourites:

Ivy

Ivy’sselect screen music is one of the best in the game. It’s a remix of her original theme music, which was already great, but this version is even better. The remix retains the feel of the original while adding some new elements that make it more exciting. It’s also one of the few character select screens that actually changes the music based on whether you’re playing as Ivy or against her.If you’re playing as Ivy, the music is more upbeat and positive, but if you’re playing against her, it becomes more menacing and foreboding.

Nightmare

Nightmare is the main antagonist of the Soul series of fighting games. He was introduced in the first Soulcalibur and has returned for every subsequent installment in the series, appearing as the final boss in most of them. Nightmare’s character design has varied greatly throughout each game he appears in, but his signature look consists of spiked armor and a demonic mask with long horns. He also carries a large sword known as “Soul Edge”, which is central to the plot of many games in the series. In his first appearance, Nightmare was voiced by Toshihiko Seki in Japanese and by Brian Bloom in English. In Soulcalibur III, both voices were replaced by Hideo Ishikawa and Steve Blum, respectively. Tomokazu Seki took over the role of Nightmare for Soulcalibur IV, while Takayuki Sugo became his Japanese voice actor in Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. In Soulcalibur V, both Riki Kitazawa and Tomokazu Seki reprised their roles from previous games as Nightmare’s English and Japanese voice actors, respectively.

Cervantes

Cervantes is a Spanish pirate who debuted in the original Soulcalibur. He is the father of Ivy, and uses two swords in battle, which he keeps sheathed across his back. In Soulcalibur II, Cervantes was one of four guest characters (along with Link, Todd McFarlane’s Spawn, and Heihachi Mishima) available only in certain versions of the game. In his character ending, it is revealed that the Evil Seed had caused Cervantes to attack Ivy and turn her into a demonic swordswoman.

Cervantes’ theme song is entitled “The Guardian”.

Astaroth

Astaroth is a giant of a man, and his weight class is quite literally heavyweight. He hails from the Forgemasters’ Guild in Rockwell and his weapons of choice are a gigantic axe and a massive hammer, which he wields with ease. Astaroth is a powerful and brutal fighter who does not hesitate to crush his opponents.

Best Character Select Music in Soul Calibur 2

There are many reasons to love Soul Calibur 2, but one of the best reasons is the character select screen music. Every character has their own individual theme that gets you hyped up to fight. In this article, we’ll be countdown the best character select screen music in Soul Calibur 2.

Ivy

Ivy is one of the more unique characters in the Soul Calibur series. She uses a snake as her main weapon, and her style of fighting is very carnal and aggressive. As such, her character select music is very dark and seductive. It features a heavy beat with sultry singing in the background. This track really sets the tone for Ivy’s character and makes her one of the more memorable fighters in the game.

Nightmare

Nightmare is the main antagonist of the Soul series of fighting games. He is a powerful warrior who seeks to exterminate humanity and rule over the world with an iron fist. Nightmare is also the main character of his own storyline in several games, in which he is often portrayed as a more tragic figure.

Nightmare’s striking features are his mane of wild, spiky black hair, his crimson eyes, and his massive build. He dons a suit of spiked armor which covers most of his body, and wields a large sword known as the “Chaos Crusher”.

Despite being the primary protagonist/antagonist of the series, Nightmare does not have a playable character in every game he appears in. He is, however, almost always present as a boss character or in some other capacity.

The following is a list of games in which Nightmare appears as a playable character:

-Soulcalibur II (PlayStation 2, GameCube)
-Soulcalibur III (PlayStation 2)
-Soulcalibur IV (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

Cervantes

One of the best things about Soul Calibur 2 is the character select music. While each character has their own unique theme, there are a few that stand out above the rest. Here are our picks for the best character select music in Soul Calibur 2.

Cervantes: Cervantes’ theme is an epic and haunting piece that perfectly sets the stage for his battle against the other characters. The Spanish guitar and flamenco percussion give Cervantes an exotic flavor that is unmatched by any other character in the game.

Astaroth: Astaroth’s theme is a dark and foreboding piece that sets the mood for his battles perfectly. The slow, methodical tempo gives Astaroth an imposing feel, and the heavy metal instrumentation drives home the point that this is not a character to be taken lightly.

Nightmare: Nightmare’s theme is one of the most iconic pieces of music in the series, and for good reason. The fast pace and intense energy of the track perfectly capture Nightmare’s manic fighting style, and the use of opera vocals gives the track an epic feel that befits a clash of such epic proportions.

Astaroth

Astaroth is a character in Namco’s Soul series of fighting games. He made his first appearance in Soul Edge, the inaugural game in the series. In the games, Astaroth is a monstrous warrior who seeks to obtain the legendary blade, Soul Edge.

Astaroth is a very tall and muscular humanoid. He has reddish-brown skin, long black hair, and yellow eyes. He has sharp teeth, and his hands end in sharp claws. He wears a metal breastplate with spikes, as well as metal wristbands and greaves. His most notable feature is his large bull-like horns.

In combat, Astaroth primarily uses his immense strength to crush his opponents. He can also perform various charging attacks with his horns, as well as fire energy blasts from his mouth.
