What is Soul Music?

D’Angelo’s second album, Voodoo, was released in 2000. Once again, it was a critical and commercial success. The album won two Grammy Awards and is widely considered to be one of the best soul albums of all time. After taking a hiatus from music for several years, D’Angelo returned with his third album, Black Messiah, in 2014. The album was met with rave reviews, and it cemented D’Angelo’s status as one of the greatest soul musicians alive today.

Maxwell

Maxwell is an American R&B singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor. His 2000 album Embrya earned him a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album. He has appeared in the films Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) and Black Narcissus (2017).
