The 2011 Soul Train Music Awards were held last night at the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA.

Introduction

The Soul Train Music Awards is an annual award show that honors the best in African American music and entertainment. The show features performances by some of the biggest names in R&B, soul, hip-hop, and gospel, as well as awards presentations and tributes to industry legends.

The 2011 Soul Train Music Awards will take place on November 27 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The show will be hosted by Actor/Comedian Anthony Anderson and will feature musical performances by Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Price, Willow Smith, and many others.

Winners

The 2011 Soul Train Music Awards were held on November 27, 2011 at the Palladium Ballroom in Hollywood, California. The event was hosted by actor/comedian Kevin Hart.

Winners for the night included BeyoncĂ© for “Best R&B/Soul Female Artist”, Bruno Mars for “Best R&B/Soul Male Artist”, and Rihanna for “Song of the Year”. Other notable moments included a tribute to Don Cornelius, the creator of Soul Train, by Usher and Sheila E.

Performances

The 2011 Soul Train Music Awards were held on November 27, 2011 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. The award show was hosted by actor/comedian Anthony Anderson and featured performances by some of the biggest names in music.

Artists who took the stage during the course of the evening included Cee Lo Green, Marsha Ambrosius, Kelly Price, Melanie Fiona, Macy Gray, Jill Scott, Raphael Saadiq, Esperanza Spalding, Kem and many more. In addition to the musical performances, the show also featured tributes to late music icons Don Cornelius and Whitney Houston.

The awards show was hosted by actor/comedian Cedric the Entertainer and featured performances by Bruno Mars, Wiz Khalifa, Miguel, Kelly Rowland, and many more. In addition to performances, the show also included tributes to music legends Donna Summer and Luther Vandross.
