The Soul Train Music Awards 2014 took place on November 7th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. The show was hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and featured performances by Usher, Trey Songz, and many more.

Introduction

The Soul Train Music Awards is an annual music awards show that honors the best in African American music. The 2014 awards show was held on November 7, 2014 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by actor/ comedian Anthony Anderson and featured performances by Usher, Toni Braxton, Trey Songz, Jennifer Hudson, and many more.

The Winners

Here are the winners of the 2014 Soul Train Music Awards:

-Best R&B/Soul Male Artist: Usher
-Best R&B/Soul Female Artist: Beyoncé

The Performances

The 2014 Soul Train Music Awards took place on Sunday, November 30th at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by comedian/actor Anthony Anderson and featured performances by some of the biggest names in music.

The night began with a tribute to the late Don Cornelius, the creator of Soul Train. Then, it was time for the first performance of the night from Jennifer Hudson. She sang her new song, “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” accompanied by a dance troupe. Next up was Tribute Artist of the Year, Jeremih, who sang his hit single, “Don’t Tell ‘Em.”

Other performers throughout the night included Usher, who sang “Good Kisser”; Chris Brown, who performed “New Flame”; Pharrell Williams, who sang his smash hit “Happy”; and many more. In addition to the musical performances, there were also several awards given out throughout the course of the evening.

The Fashion

Fashion was on display at the 2014 Soul Train Music Awards, with a range of looks from elegant gowns to daring street style. Celebrities like Chris Brown, K. Michelle and Jordin Sparks were among the stars who turned heads on the red carpet.

Here are some of the best fashion moments from the 2014 Soul Train Music Awards:

Chris Brown looked dapper in a black suit with a white shirt and black tie. He accessorized with a gold chain and black suspenders.

K. Michelle rocked a plunging white gown with a thigh-high slit. She kept her jewelry simple with just a pair of diamond earrings.

Jordin Sparks sparkled in a gold sequined dress with a plunging neckline. She added some edge to her look with a pair of black ankle boots.

Teyana Taylor kept it casual in distressed jeans, a white tank top and a bomber jacket. She finished off her look with retro-inspired sneakers and round sunglasses.

The After-Party

The Soul Train Music Awards 2014 were held in Las Vegas on November 7, and they did not disappoint. The star-studded event was hosted by comedian/actor Katt Williams and featured performances by some of the biggest names in music, including Snoop Dogg, T.I., Trey Songz, Jennifer Hudson, and Usher. But the real party started after the show, when the celebrities let loose at the official after-party.

Held at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, the after-party was hosted by rapper Affion Crockett and featured a live performance by rapper Wiz Khalifa. Other guests included T.I., Lil Kim, Tank, Kelly Rowland, Fantasia, Monica, Brandy, Tamar Braxton, Tank, Diddy, and many more. The party went late into the night, with some guests not leaving until early morning.

It was a night to remember for all who attended, and we can’t wait to see what next year’s Soul Train Music Awards have in store!
