The nominations for the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards were announced today (November 5) and, as expected, it includes some of the biggest names in R&B, Hip-Hop, and Soul. Leading the pack are Chloe x Halle, who earned a whopping nine nods including Song of the Year and Album/Mixtape of the Year, while Lil Nas X follows closely behind with eight nominations.

Other notable nominees include Summer Walker (seven), Doja Cat (five), Megan Thee Stallion (five), and Beyoncé (four). Jhené Aiko, meanwhile, earned herself a nomination in the much-coveted Best R&B/Soul Female Artist category alongside Kehlani, Ledisi, Mary J. Blige, Rubi Rose, Summer Walker, Tank, and Tinashe.

Best New Artist

The nominees for the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards have been announced, and Roddy Ricch and Doja Cat are leading the pack with six nominations each.
