The Soul Train Music Awards are back for another year of honoring the best and brightest in R&B, soul, and hip-hop music. This year’s awards show is sure to be a can’t-miss event, so here’s a look at who will be performing at the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards.

Chris Brown

Chris Brown is set to perform at the Soul Train Music Awards 2021. The news was announced on the official Twitter account for the awards show. Brown is nominated for two awards at the ceremony, which will take place on February 28.

Usher

Usher will be among the performers at the Soul Train Music Awards 2021, which will air on BET on February 28. The musician, who has won eight Grammy Awards, will be presenting an award at the ceremony.

H.E.R.

Sources are reporting that R&B sensation H.E.R. is preparing to perform at the Soul Train Music Awards. The award show, which celebrates the best in Black music and entertainment, will air on BET on Sunday, November 28th.

This will mark H.E.R.’s first performance at the Soul Train Music Awards, though she has been nominated for four awards in the past, including Best R&B/Soul Female Artist and Best Collaboration. In 2020, she won the award for Song of the Year for her track “Slide” featuring YG.

Other performers at this year’s Soul Train Music Awards include Alicia Keys, Ciara, Tank, and Musiq Soulchild.

Lil Kim

Lil Kim is a multi-platinum selling rapper, songwriter, actress and businesswoman. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, she first gained notoriety as a member of the hip-hop group Junior M.A.F.I.A. Their first album, Conspiracy, went platinum and spawned the hit singles “Player’s Anthem” and “Get Money.” Kim went on to have a successful solo career with the release of her debut album Hard Core in 1996. The album was certified double platinum and spawned the platinum-selling singles “No Time,” “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix),” and “Crush on You.”

In 2001, Kim released her second album The Notorious K.I.M., which debuted at number one on the Billboard albums chart and was certified double platinum. The album spawned the hit singles “Lady Marmalade,” “No Matter What They Say” and “How Many Licks?”

Kim has also appeared in a number of films, television shows and music videos throughout her career. In 2005, she starred in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Joneses. In 2014, she made a cameo appearance in the film 22 Jump Street.

Kim is set to release her fifth studio album 9 at some point in 2021.

Snoop Dogg

The next Soul Train Music Awards will be held on March 28, 2021, at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Snoop Dogg will host the event for the third time. The awards show will feature performances by Damian Marley, H.E.R., Luke James, Lucky Daye, Sevyn Streeter, and Yolanda Adams.

Doja Cat

Doja Cat is set to perform at the Soul Train Music Awards 2021. The “Say So” singer will take the stage alongside other artists, including Jhené Aiko, Vivian Green, Lucky Daye, and Big Freedia. The awards show will air on Sunday, March 28 at 8 p.m. ET on BET and BET Her.

Megan Thee Stallion
