What is Starbound?

Starbound is a Terraria-like game in space where you mine resources, build things, and fight space pirates. The game has a great soundtrack that consists mostly of electronic music. A YouTuber by the name of Dubmood has recently released a remix album of the Starbound soundtrack that replace the original tracks with dubstep versions.

The Music of Starbound

Starbound is an upcoming game by indie studio Chucklefish Games. The game is currently in beta, and features procedurally generated planets and space exploration. One of the defining features of Starbound is its music, composed by Gareth Coker. Coker’s score draws from a wide range of genres, including classical, rock, metal, and electronica.

The game’s soundtrack is available for purchase on Bandcamp, and includes remixes by artists such as OverClocked ReMix and FamilyJules7x. A dubstep remix of the game’s main theme, “Matter Manipulator”, was released by artist FiXT on December 4th, 2014.

The Remix

The ever-popular video game Starbound has gotten a dubstep remix by artist Dj CUTMAN. The remix, titled “Starbound (Dubstep Remix)” is available for free on his website.

Dj CUTMAN is known for his video game remixes, and has done remixes for games such as Super Mario Bros., Zelda, and Portal. He has also done remixes of songs from movies and TV shows, such as Adventure Time, Futurama, and Game of Thrones.

The Reception

The reception to the remix was mixed, with some people loving it and some thinking it didn’t suit the game. Overall, though, the feedback was positive and people seemed to enjoy the new take on the music.
