Lorch progressed through the ranks at Orlando Pirates, representing the club’s Under-19 and Under-21 sides before he was promoted to the senior team in 2012. Lorch scored his first professional goal on 6 April 2012, netting the equaliser in a 1–1 draw against Moroka Swallows. He went on to make eleven appearances and score one goal during the 2011–12 season.

The following season, Lorch made thirteen appearances and scored three goals as Orlando Pirates went on to win the 2012–13 Premier Soccer League title. He also featured in five games and scored one goal as the club reached the final of the 2013 MTN8, where they lost 2–0 to Supersport United.

Lorch won his second successive Premier Soccer League title with Orlando Pirates in 2013–14 after making twenty-four appearances and scoring three goals during the season.

He scored his first goal of the 2014–15 season on 28 October 2014, netting a brace in a 5–2 win over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in the Round of 32 ofthe Telkom Knockout.
