Whether you’re a diehard metalhead or just getting into the genre, we’ve got something for you. Tune in now and headbang your way into the weekend!

History of the Station

The station was created in the late 1990s as a way to give back to the local community. It was founded by a group of local musicians who wanted to provide a platform for Toledo’s metal music scene. The station has been through a lot of changes over the years, but it has always remained true to its roots.

The station is currently run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about metal music. They offer a variety of shows that feature local, national, and international metal bands. They also host an annual Metal Fest that celebrates Toledo’s metal music scene.

If you’re a fan of metal music, or if you’re just curious about what thestation has to offer, check out their website or give them a listen. You won’t be disappointed.

The Station Today

Listener-supported WXJM is Toledo’s only non-commercial, independent, full-time heavy metal music radio station. The station went on the air in July of 2001 and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2016. WXJM programming is a mix of music, public affairs, and local sports. The station operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Future of the Station

I am not sure what the future of the station is. We have been losing listeners for the past year or two. I think the writing is on the wall and we will be eventually replaced by a country music station or something.
