The Top 100 Pop Songs of 2015 list was compiled by Billboard. This list includes the top 100 pop songs that made the charts in 2015.

Introduction

In 2015, the pop charts were filled with songs about love and heartbreak, partying and drinking, and good times and bad times. The year’s biggest hits came from Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Adele, among many others.

The Top 100 Pop Songs of 2016

The Top 100 Pop Songs of 2015 were revealed today (Dec. 9), with Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” — featuring Charlie Puth — crowned as the Hot 100’s No. 1 song of the year.

The ballad, written for Paul Walker for the film Furious 7, marks the first time a rap song has topped the tally for Hot 100’s Song of the Year and is also the first posthumous No. 1 on the ranking.

Rounding out the top five songs of 2015 are Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk!,” featuring Bruno Mars, at No. 2; Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” at No. 3; Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” at No. 4; and Walk The Moon’s “Shut Up and Dance” at No. 5.

The year-end pop songs chart is based on actual performance on the weekly Hot 100, through the chart dated Dec. 5, 2015. A song is eligible to rank on the year-end countdown if it peaked in 2015 and ranked within the top 50 spots of that chart between Dec. 6, 2014 and Nov. 28, 2015

The Top 100 Pop Songs of 2017

The Top 100 Pop Songs of 2017 were revealed on Thursday (Dec. 7), with Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” leading the pack for a second consecutive year.

The U.K. singer-songwriter, who released his third studio album ÷ (Divide) in March, earned two slots in the top 10 this year, as his Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee collaborations — “Despacito” remix and “Perfect” — came in at No. 2 and No. 4, respectively.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like” rose one spot to No. 3, while Sam Smith’s “Too Good at Goodbyes” debuted at No. 5. Maroon 5’s “What Lovers Do,” featuring SZA, also started strong at No. 8 — giving the pop band its 16th top 10 hit on Billboard’s pop songs radio airplay chart.

Rounding out the top 10 were Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” (No. 6), P!nk’s “What About Us” (No. 7) and Kesha’s comeback hit “Praying” (No. 9).
