1. Maceo Plex – Essential Mix (BBC Radio 1)
Maceo Plex dropped an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 back in August, and it was one of the stand-out sets of the year. The two-hour mix was packed with Maceo’s signature brand of deep, hypnotic techno, with just the right amount of groove thrown in for good measure.

2. Richie Hawtin – Boiler Room Brooklyn (Techno Takeover)
Richie Hawtin was one of the headliners at Boiler Room’s Techno Takeover event in Brooklyn back in October, and he did not disappoint. Serving up a 90-minute set of pure techno goodness, Hawtin had the dance floor lost in a sea of hypnotic rhythms and dark melodies.

3. Nina Kraviz – Resident Advisor Mix (RA Podcast)
Nina Kraviz delivered an excellent mix for Resident Advisor’s podcast series back in September, giving us an insight into her unique style of techno. Kraviz weaves together elements of house, acid, electro and more into her sets, always resulting in a high-energy dance floor experience.

4. Rødhåd – Zen FM mix (Zen FM)
Rødhåd is known for his dark and atmospheric brand of techno, and he brought those vibes to his mix for Zen FM back in May. The German producer took us on a journey through deep and dubby techno territory, with plenty of surprises thrown in along the way.

5. Laurent Garnier – XOYO Loves Paris Mix (XOYO)
Laurent Garnier is a true legend of electronic music, and he proved why with this two-hour mix for XOYO Loves Paris back in February. The French DJ/producer took us on a ride through his vast record collection, serving up everything from classic disco and funk tracks to modern day techno gems.
