After a while, they decided to start their own band and recruited bassist Jeff Rosenstock and guitarist/keyboardist Brian Wahlstrom.

The foursome clicked immediately, both musically and personally. They began writing songs and playing shows around town. word of their unique blend of indie rock, punk, and pop began to spread, and they soon found themselves with a small but dedicated following.

In 2003, the band released their first album, “We Are The Champions”. The record was well-received by critics and fans alike, and it helped to garner them a wider audience.

The following year, the group toured extensively in support of the album. They played shows across the country and shared stages with some of the biggest names in indie rock, including Death Cab for Cutie and Modest Mouse.

By 2005, the band was ready to release their second album, “This Is What We Do”. Once again, they were met with positive reviews and eager fans.
