Gold said he is hoping to open the new restaurant in early November. He also plans to keep the Marshall Street location open.

“I think there’s enough of a demand for it,” he said of the waffles. “We’ve got a great following.”

Funk ‘n Waffles has been open on Marshall Street since 2013. It has become a popular spot for late-night dining and has attracted national attention for its pairing of waffles with live music.
