There are many different types of Dance and EDM music. The most popular type is probably club music, which is the type of music that you would hear in a club setting. This type of music is usually fast-paced and has a lot of energy. It can be very upbeat and exciting to listen to. Another popular type of Dance music is Trance. Trance is a genre of electronic music that is characterized by a driving, often repetitive beat and a hypnotic quality.

House

House music is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in Chicago in the early 1980s. It was initially popularized in clubs that were frequented by African American gay men. House music is characterized by a repetitive four-on-the-floor drum beat, sampled source material, and synthesizers. The genre was developed by DJ’s who created tracks by blending various records together. House music quickly spread to other parts of the United States and then to Europe. By the early 1990s, house music had become a global phenomenon.

Techno

Techno is a form of electronic dance music that emerged in Detroit, Michigan in the United States during the mid-to-late 1980s. The first recorded use of the word techno in reference to a specific genre of music was in 1988. Many styles of techno now exist, but Detroit techno is seen as the foundation upon which a number of subgenres have been built.

Trance

A lot of the time, people think that trance and progressive trance are one in the same. Trance is actually a very specific genre that falls under the larger umbrella of EDM. Progressive trance is a sub-genre of trance that developed in the early 2000s. The main difference between the two genres is that progressive trance has a more melodic sound, while trance generally has a harder sound.
