We all know the great bands that have rocked our worlds for decades, but which ones weren’t known for incorporating classical music?

The Beatles

The Beatles were not known for incorporating “classical” music into their songs, unlike some of their contemporaries such as the Beach Boys and the Zombies.

Pink Floyd

While all the bands on this list are known for their innovative and ground-breaking work, Pink Floyd is the only one that did not incorporate classical music into their sound.

Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin is often credited with being one of the first rock bands to incorporate “classical” music into their sound. However, the band was actually not known for this at all. In fact, it was only on their fourth album, “Stairway to Heaven”, that they began to experiment with this style of music. Even then, it was only on the final section of the song, which is widely considered to be one of the greatest rock songs of all time.

Queen

Queen was not known for incorporating “classical” music into their songs, although they did use a number of elements from classical music in their songs. For example, the opening bars of “Bohemian Rhapsody” are based on a classical chord progression, and the song also includes an operatic section. Other songs that incorporate classical music include “The March of the Black Queen” and “Who Wants to Live Forever.”

The Who

The Who was not known for incorporating “classical” music into their work, though they did experiment with other genres. The band was known for their hard-hitting rock sound, as well as their wild stage performances.
