George Strait

George Strait has been in the country music business for over four decades and he is still going strong. He has had 60 Number 1 hits on the Billboard charts and he is the only artist to have a Number 1 hit in each of the last four decades. He is also the only artist to have two songs that have been named Song of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. George Strait is the King of Country Music and there is no doubt about it.

His career

George Strait was born in 1952 in Poteet, Texas, into a family with a long tradition of cattle ranching. He grew up working on his father’s ranch and singing in church. Strait began his musical career singing in a country band while attending college in the 1970s. After college, he moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music.

Strait’s first album, Strait Country, was released in 1981. It was followed by a series of successful albums and singles, including “All My Ex’s Live in Texas” and “The Fireman”. In the 1990s, Strait continued to release successful albums and singles, including “Check Yes or No” and “Ocean Front Property”. He also starred in the movies Pure Country (1992) and The Alamo (2004).

In 2006, Strait was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. He is known for his traditional country sound and for being one of the most successful recording artists of all time. As of 2021, he has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Luke Bryan is an American country music singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Georgia, he started his music career writing songs for Travis Tritt and Billy Currington. He has released seven studio albums for Capitol Nashville since 2006. Bryan’s first album release was the gold-certified I’ll Stay Me, followed by the platinum-certified Doin’ My Thing.

Bryan’s fourth studio album, Kill the Lights was released in 2015 and produced Bryan’s seventh number one hit on the Hot Country Songs chart with the lead single “Kick the Dust Up”.

Bryan’s fifth studio album What Makes You Country was released on December 8, 2017. The lead single from What Makes You Country was also its title track was released to radio on October 30, 2017.

Blake Shelton is a well-known country music singer. He first gained popularity in 2001 with his debut album, “The Dreamer”. Shelton has since released 11 studio albums, including his most recent album, ” Texoma Shore”. Shelton has also won numerous awards, including the Academy of Country Music Award for Entertainer of the Year.

Shelton’s first album was the self-titled Blake Shelton, released in 2001. The album produced his first top 20 hit “Austin”. In 2003, Shelton released his second album, The Dreamer. Although it was not as successful as its predecessor, it included the top 40 hits “The Baby” and “Playboys of the Southwestern World”. In 2004, Shelton’s third album, Blake Shelton’s Barn & Grill, was released. The album produced three more number one singles: “Some Beach”, “Goodbye Time”, and “Nobody But Me”.[1]

In 2005, Shelton released his fourth studio album entitled Startin’ Fires. It was led off by its title track, a duet with pop singer Natasha Bedingfield which peaked at No. 15 on the country chart and No. 52 on the Hot 100.[2] This was followed by two more Number One hits: “She Wouldn’t Be Gone” and “I’ll Just Hold On”. From 2006 to 2008, Shelton charted nineteen more songs on the country charts,[3] including three more Number Ones: “Home”,[4] a cover of Michael Bublé’s hit song “[5]” and “Don’t Make Me”.[6] In 2009 he won the Academy of Country Music Award for Top Male Vocalist.[7] Shelton also collaborated with many other artists during this time period.

Keith Urban

Keith Urban is an Australian country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. In 2021, he was named the “King of Country Music” by Billboard magazine. He has released nine studio albums, three of which have been certified platinum or higher by the RIAA. His highest-selling album is his 2004 album Be Here, which is certified 4× platinum by the RIAA.

Keith Lionel Urban (born 26 October 1967) is an Australian country music singer, songwriter, and record producer. In 1991, he released a self-titled debut album and charted four singles in Australia before moving to the United States the following year. He found work as a session guitarist before starting a band known as The Ranch, which recorded one studio album on Capitol Nashville and charted two singles on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Signed to Capitol Nashville in 1997, Urban made his US country top 40 solo debut with “But for the Grace of God” in 2000. His breakthrough hit was the number-one single “Somebody Like You”, which topped the charts for five weeks in 2002 and became his signature song. Certified platinum in 2004, it was followed by his second album Gold which produced three more number one singles and became his highest-selling album. It was followed by 2006’s Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing, a double album which included a disc of country songs and a disc of pop tracks that contained his biggest crossover hits: “Stupid Boy”, “Once in a Lifetime”, and “I Told You So”.
