The Grammy Award for Best Electronic Dance Music Album is an award presented at the Grammy Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1958 and originally called the Gramophone Awards, to recording artists for quality works (songs or albums) in the electronic dance music genre.
In 2012, the Academy announced the creation of this award, which recognizing “albums containing at least 51% playing time of new vocal or instrumental electronica/dance recordings”. The first recipient of this award was Skrillex for Bangarang.
As of 2021, no album has won more than once. Skrillex and Lady Gaga are the only artists to have been nominated more than once.
