Dave has a brother Jeff who is also a musician and a sister Merrilee. Jeff introduced Dave to the saxophone when he was eight years old. Dave took lessons for about two years before motion sickness caused him to stop playing for a time. Interested in musical theater at an early age (his first role being the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz at age 10), Koz auditioned unsuccessfully for multiple shows while in high school before finally landing the lead role of Teen Angel in the musical Grease while still a senior at Grant High School in Van Nuys.

Brian Culbertson

Brian Culbertson is an American contemporary jazz and R&B musician. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended DePaul University. He currently resides in Hollywood, California.

Culbertson has released nineteen albums, both independently and through record labels such as Verve, Atlantic, Motown, and GRP.
