Zedd’s global success

EDM producer and DJ Zedd has had an incredible amount of success in recent years, with his debut album Clarity reaching platinum status in the United States and his follow-up, True Colors, reaching number one on the dance charts. But it’s not just Zedd’s music that’s making waves around the world – his house music is taking over the world.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Zedd revealed that he had originally intended for his music to be more progressive house, but that he found himself gravitating towards a morepop-influenced sound. This change in sound has helped to make Zedd one of the most popular DJs in the world, with his songs being played on radio stations and in clubs across the globe.

While some may see Zedd’s success as a sign that EDM is becoming more mainstream, the producer says that he isn’t concerned with whether or not his music is considered “EDM” – he just wants people to enjoy it. “I make music for myself first and foremost,” he told Rolling Stone. “But if other people enjoy it and want to call it whatever they want, that’s cool with me.”
