Psychedelic rock posters are one of the most iconic examples of psychedelic art.

The Beatles

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. With members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, they became widely regarded as the foremost and most influential music band in history. In 1964, they gained international popularity with their film A Hard Day’s Night and their 64 song album Meet the Beatles!, the latter of which topped US$12 million sales in its first year. By early 1966, however, the Beatles were persuaded by Brian Epstein to adopt a more commercial approach following his management of them since 1960 and producer George Martin’s guidance on their album Rubber Soul; subsequently, they released Revolver (1966), Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967)–one of rock music’s most influential albums–and Abbey Road (1969).
