The 2016 Latin Music Awards were held on April 28, 2016, at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. The show was hosted by Giselle Blondet and Alejandra Espinoza.

This year’s Latin Music Awards featured performances by some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Gloria Trevi, Camila, Jesse & Joy, Mana, Reik, and many others. In addition, several special awards were presented during the show.

History of the Latin Music Awards

The Latin Music Awards are an annual awards show that honors the best in Latin music. The awards are given out by the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (LARAS).

The firstLatin Music Awards were held in 2000, and were created to recognize the growing popularity of Latin music. The awards are given out in a variety of categories, including Best Male Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Group, and Best New Artist.

The Latin Music Awards are held every year in a different city. This year’s awards will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2016 Latin Music Award Winners

The 2016 Latin Music Awards were held on April 27, 2016, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by Puerto Rican singer Lucero and Mexican actor Diego Luna.

This year’s winners included:

2016 Latin Music Award Nominees

The 2016 Latin Grammy Awards are set to take place on November 17 in Miami, Florida. CBS will broadcast the show live at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT. This year’s show will feature performances by some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Gloria Trevi, Sebastian Yatra, Jesse & Joy, Carlos Vives, and more.

The 2016 Latin Grammy Awards will honor the best in Latin music released between July 2015 and June 2016 in four general field categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Nominations were announced on September 15, 2016.

Conclusion

The Latin Music Awards is an annual music awards show which recognizes the achievements of Latin American music performers in various genres. It was held on April 7, 2016, at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, and was broadcast live on Univision. The show was hosted by Mexican singer Gloria Trevi and comedian Mario Bosquez.

A total of forty-six awards were handed out during the ceremony. Colombian singer Shakira received four awards, including ‘Artist of the Year’, while Mexican singer Alejandro Fernandez won two trophies, including ‘Song of the Year’ for his single “Amor Prohibido”. Venezuelan reggaeton duo Chino & Nacho were also among the winners, receiving the ‘New Artist of the Year’ award.
