The 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards are just around the corner, and we’ve got the scoop on who’s performing! From Luis Fonsi to Shakira, don’t miss a moment of the action.

J Balvin

J Balvin is a Colombian reggaeton singer. He is one of the most well-known and successful Latin American singers in the world. His music is often characterized by its catchy hooks and party-like atmosphere.

Born in Medellín, Colombia, J Balvin began his musical career performing at local clubs and bars. He soon caught the attention of record labels and producers, and released his debut album in 2009. Since then, he has released several hit singles, including “Mi Gente” and “Ginza”, both of which topped the charts in multiple countries.

J Balvin has won numerous awards throughout his career, including three Latin Grammy Awards and four Billboard Latin Music Awards. He is also the first Colombian singer to have a number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “Mi Gente”.

Bad Bunny

Bad Bunny is a reggaeton and Latin trap singer. He released his debut album, “X 100pre,” in 2018 and has since collaborated with a number of artists, including Drake, Cardi B, and J. Balvin. He is scheduled to perform at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Ozuna

Ozuna is a reggaeton and trap singer from Puerto Rico. He is one of the most popular Latin music artists of 2017. His music often features themes of love, heartbreak, and relationships. Ozuna has collaborated with some of the biggest names in Latin music, including Daddy Yankee, Anuel AA, and Bad Bunny. He is set to perform at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Luis Fonsi

Luis Fonsi was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on April 15, 1978. His father, Alfonso Rodriguez, was a singer who exposed Luis to the world of music at an early age. Luis began his musical career as part of the Puerto Rican boy band Big Guys. The group was signed to a record label in 1995 and released their debut album the following year. Big Guys disbanded after only one album, but Luis Fonsi continued to pursue a solo career in the Latin music industry.

In 1998, Luis Fonsi released his debut solo album, “Comenzaré.” The album featured the hit single “Si Tú Te Vas,” which became a top ten hit in Puerto Rico and helped launch Fonsi’s solo career. He followed up with the release of his second album, “Eterno,” in 2000. The album’s lead single, “Imaginame Sin Ti,” became a top five hit in Puerto Rico and helped make “Eterno” Fonsi’s most successful album to date.

In 2002, Luis Fonsi collaborated with Shakira on the song “Te Odio y Te Amo” for her fourth studio album, “Servicio de Lavandería.” The following year, he released his third studio album, “Amor Secreto.” The album’s lead single, “Abrazar la Vida,” became a top ten hit in Puerto Rico and helped make “Amor Secreto” another success for Fonsi.

Since then, Luis Fonsi has released four more studio albums: “Palabras del Silencio” (2006), “Tierra Firme” (2011), “8” (2014), and most recently, “Vida” (2019). He has also toured extensively throughout Latin America and the United States. In 2017, he achieved international superstardom with the release of his smash hit single “Despacito.” The song quickly rose to the top of charts around the world and became the most streamed song of all time on Spotify. In 2018, he won three Grammy Awards for “Despacito,” including Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

Daddy Yankee

Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez (born February 3, 1977), known by his stage name Daddy Yankee, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, rapper, actor and record producer. Ayala was born in Río Piedras, San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was raised in the neighborhood of Villa Kennedy Housing Projects. Daddy Yankee is the artist who coined the term “Reggaeton” to describe the new music genre that was emerging from Puerto Rico in the late 1990s.

In 2017, Daddy Yankee’s song “Dura” peaked at number one on Billboard Hot Latin Songs for 19 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running number-one single by a male artist on that chart since its inception in 1986. It also became the first Latin song to receive a diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His album Barrio Fino (2004) became the best-selling Latin album of the 2000s decade. Ayala has won five Grammy Awards, 13 Latin Grammy Awards and 27 Billboard Music Awards.

Shakira

Shakira is a Columbian singer, songwriter, dancer, and record producer who has sold over 70 million albums worldwide. She is the only female artist to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Shakira has won three Grammy Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, and four MTV Video Music Awards. She will be performing at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Enrique Iglesias

Enrique Iglesias is a Spanish singer, songwriter, actor and record producer. He is widely considered as the King of Latin Pop. Iglesias started his career in the mid-1990s on an American Spanish Language record label Fonovisa Records under the name Enrique Martinez, before switching to his current stage name. He has sold more than 170 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling Latin artists of all time. In 2010, he released his first single in five years “No Me Digas Que No”. Since 1996, Iglesias has been married to former tennis player Anna Kournikova.

Pitbull

Pitbull will be performing at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards!

The American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer will be taking the stage to perform his hit song “Options” with Cuban duo Gente de Zona.

This will be Pitbull’s first time performing at the award show, which will be held on April 27 at the University of Miami’s Watsco Center.

He is considered one of the most influential Bachata artists of all time. Nicky Jam

Nicky Jam will be performing at the 2017 Billboard Latin Music Awards. The awards show will take place on April 27, 2017, at the University of Miami’s Watsco Center.
