The Billboard Latin Music Awards is an annual awards show that recognizes the most popular albums, songs, and performers in Latin music, as determined by the Billboard magazine charts. The award show is produced by Telemundo and dick clark productions. It airs live on Telemundo each April, and is subsequently rebroadcast on Univision.
The first-ever Billboard Latin Music Awards ceremony was held on April 23, 1994, at the Miami Marriott Dadeland Hotel in Miami, Florida. The show was broadcast live on the Univision television network. Ricky Martin was the first-ever winner of the Top Latin Artist award.
In 2021, the 28th annual Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live on Thursday, April 29 at 8pm ET/PT from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.

Winners
Alejandro Sanz and Daddy Yankee were the big winners at the 2021 Billboard Latin Music Awards, taking home five awards each. Sanz was named Latin Artist of the Year, while Daddy Yankee won awards for Latin Artist of the Decade,Latin Pop Artist of the Year and Latin Pop Album of the Year.
