This year has been full of great country music. Take a look at our list of the best country songs of 2020.

Introduction

Country music isn’t just about unwinding after a long week anymore. The genre has seen a major resurgence in recent years, thanks in part to critical darlings like Kacey Musgraves and Lil Nas X. But country is also having a moment in the pop realm, with crossover hits from the likes of Maren Morris, Dan + Shay, and Thomas Rhett.

There’s something for everyone in country music these days, and 2020 has been no exception. So far this year, we’ve seen stadium-sized anthems, old-school throwbacks, heart-wrenching ballads, and everything in between. To help you sort through the best of the best, we’ve rounded up our favorite country songs of 2020 (so far).

Best Country Albums of 2020

2020 was a great year for country music. Many artists released new albums and singles that topped the charts. In this article, we will be discussing the best country albums of 2020. These are the albums that received critical acclaim and won awards.

“Wildcard” by Miranda Lambert

As one of the most celebrated and successful country artists of her generation, Miranda Lambert has long had a reputation for delivering both intensely personal lyrics and gutsy, powerhouse vocals. With her ninth studio album, “Wildcard,” she solidifies that reputation.

“Wildcard” is Lambert’s first album since her highly publicized divorce from fellow country star Blake Shelton in 2015, and it is clear that she is not holding anything back. The album is full of break-up anthems and songs about moving on, but Lambert’s greatest strength has always been her ability to find hope and humor in the midst of heartbreak.

Lambert’s songwriting is as sharp as ever on “Wildcard,” with standout tracks like “It All Comes Out in the Wash” and ” Bluebird” offering up both perfect put-downs of exes and uplifting messages about resilience. And if there are any doubts about Lambert’s vocal chops after all these years, they are quickly put to rest on the soaring ballad “Way Too Pretty for Prison.”

With “Wildcard,” Miranda Lambert has cemented her place as one of country music’s most prolific and talented artists.

“What You See Is What You Get” by Luke Combs

What You See Is What You Get is the second studio album by American country music singer and songwriter Luke Combs, released on November 8, 2019, by Columbia Nashville Records.
