The Country Music Hall of Fame has announced the lineup of artists who will be performing at the museum in 2022. The list includes some of the biggest names in country music, so make sure to mark your calendars and catch a show!
George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn to Headline
The Country Music Hall of Fame has announced that George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Brooks & Dunn will headline the organization’s 2022 Honors and Awards show. The show will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on October 22, 2022.
George Strait, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006, will receive the Cliffie Stone Pioneer Award. Alan Jackson, who was inducted in 2017, will receive the Johnny cash Visionary Award. Brooks & Dunn, who were inducted in 2019, will receive the Merle Haggard Spirit Award.
New Additions to the Museum
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has announced a series of live performances for 2022. The museum will welcome back some familiar faces, as well as introduce some new additions to its lineup.
Among the returning performers are Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Keith Urban, and Brooks & Dunn. New additions to the museum include Ashley McBryde,Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Brett Young.

As the world’s largest museum dedicated to country music, the Country Music Hall of Fame is a treasure trove of performances, artifacts, and stories from some of the genre’s most iconic artists. The newly announced additions to their archives will give fans even more opportunities to experience country music history.
George Strait:
The “King of Country” needs no introduction, and his impact on the genre is undeniable. George Strait has been a dominant force in country music for over four decades, and his catalog of hits is second to none. The Country Music Hall of Fame is excited to announce the addition of George Strait’s 2019 CMA Awards performance to their archives. This historic performance was fully donated by Strait himself and includes such classics as “Deep in the Heart of Texas” and “All My Ex’s Live in Texas.”
Reba McEntire:
Reba McEntire is a country music legend and icon, and her career has spanned five decades. She is a multi-talented performer who is just as comfortable on stage as she is on screen, and her resume includes some of country music’s most iconic songs and albums. The Country Music Hall of Fame is thrilled to announce the addition of Reba McEntire’s 2019 CMA Awards performance to their archives. This powerhouse performance features several of Reba’s classic hits, including “Fancy” and “Whoever’s In New England.”
Brooks & Dunn:
Brooks & Dunn are one of country music’s most successful duos, with a career that spans over two decades. They have released dozens of hits that have become cornerstones of the genre, and their live performances are always electric. The Country Music Hall of Fame is excited to announce the addition of Brooks & Dunn’s 2019 CMA Awards performance to their archives. This high-energy performance features some of the duo’s biggest hits, including “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” and “Neon Moon.”
Upcoming Exhibits
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will reopen to the public on May 21, 2022, with an all-new performance series featuring live music on the iconic CMA Theater stage. The series will kick off with a special show honoring the Class of 2022 Inductees – Ray Stevens, Jerry Reed, and Jeff Cook of Alabama – on May 26, 2022. Additional artists performing in the series will be announced at a later date.
The Museum closed its doors to the public on March 12, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time, the institution has worked diligently to create a safe environment for guests and staff while also planning for its much-anticipated return. New health and safety protocols will be in place when the Museum reopens, including reduced capacity in all indoor spaces, mandatory face coverings for guests ages 2 and up, socially distanced seating in the CMA Theater, and additional hand-sanitizing stations throughout the galleries.
