A new music video from Supernal is going viral on the internet, and it’s a Native American dubstep music video!

Introduction

A new music video featuring a traditional Native American drumming circle has gone viral, with over 1.5 million views on YouTube. The video, called “Pocahontas Rave”, features members of the Ho-Chunk Nation drumming and dancing to a dubstep remix of the popular song “Pocahontas” by Electronic artist Scntfc.

The video was produced by DJ Bex, a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, and features vocals by Native American artist MCM Blitz. It was filmed on the Ho-Chunk Nation reservation in Wisconsin, and features members of the Ho-Chunk Nation Drum & Dance group.

The video has been widely shared on social media, and has been featured on news sites and blogs across the internet.

The making of the video

The making of the video began when E-Dubble (the artist) was asked to create a song for a Native American awareness campaign. After several days of writing, he realized that he didn’t have anything that he felt would speak to the Native American community in a way that would be impactful. So, he decided to approach the project from a different angle and make a dubstep song with Native American themes.

The video was shot in one day in Los Angeles. E-Dubble enlisted the help of his friend, visual artist Jeremiah Rivera, to create the video. Jeremiah had never directed a music video before, but he was up for the challenge. Together, they came up with the concept for the video and planned out each shot.

They recruited two friends to be in the video, one of whom was dressed as a traditional Native American chief. The other actor played the part of a modern day Native American hipster. The two friends danced and lip synced along to the song, whichJeremiah filmed with multiple cameras.

After a day of shooting, they had everything they needed. Jeremiah spent the next week editing the footage and creating the final music video, which E-Dubble released on his YouTube channel on October 16th, 2012.

The video went viral almost immediately, garnering millions of views in just a few days. It has since been featured on major news outlets around the world and has been watched over 25 million times on YouTube.

The success of the video

The success of the video, which has racked up nearly two million views on YouTube, is a clear sign that dubstep—and electronic dance music in general—has gone mainstream. But it’s also a sign that Native American culture is becoming more visible in the mainstream media. In the past year alone, there have been a number of high-profile Native American entertainers who have made a mark on the pop cultural landscape.

The reaction to the video

The internet is divided on the video with some people loving it and others thinking it is cultural appropriation.

The impact of the video

The video has been viewed over 1 million times on YouTube and has been shared widely on social media. The response to the video has been overwhelmingly positive, with people praising its unique blend of cultures and its positive message.

The success of the video is a testament to the power of music to bring people together. It also highlights the increasing popularity of dubstep music among Native American youth.
