The gospel music genre has seen a recent resurgence in popularity, driven in part by the success of crossover artists like Kirk Franklin and Mary Mary. This renewed interest has led to increased media coverage and a new wave of fans from outside the traditional gospel community. While some herald this as a sign that gospel music is finally being recognized as a legitimate form of popular music, others are concerned that the genre is losing its religious distinctiveness.
either way, there is no denying that gospel music is having a moment in the spotlight. As more people are exposed to the genre, its impact on popular culture is likely to grow. Here are three ways that gospel music is already influencing the wider world:

As more crossover artists find success in the mainstream, they are helping to blur the lines between secular and religious music. As gospel music becomes more visible, it is also becoming more acceptable to those who might have previously written it off as too religion-Specific.
2. Gospel music is promoting positive messages.
At a time when the world can often feel like a dark and dangerous place, gospel music offers a reminder that there is still hope and Beauty in life. The messages of faith, hope, and love promoted by gospel artists offer a much-needed counterbalance to the negativity that surrounds us. In addition to promoting positive messages, gospel music also provides an outlet for social commentary on important issues like racism, poverty, and injustice.
3., Gospel Music Is Bringing People Together.
One of the most powerful things about gospel music is its ability to bring people together regardless of their background or beliefs. In a time when division seems to be the norm, gospel music provides a welcome respite from all the fighting. Whether it’s coming together for a live performance or bonding over shared musical tastes, gospel music has a way of bringing people together in a way that few other genres can match
