We’ve all had them – those songs that are so bad, they’re good. The ones that make you cringe, but you just can’t seem to get them out of your head. 2015 was no exception, with a slew of “so-bad-they’re-good” songs taking over the airwaves. Here are some of the worst (or best?) offenders:
1. “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” by Silentó
This song was so annoying, it spawned a million memes and parodies. It was inescapable in 2015, and it’s one we’ll all be happy to leave behind in 2016.
2. “Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)” by OMI
If the original version of this song wasn’t bad enough, Felix Jaehn decided to give it a try and make it even worse. A catchy beat couldn’t save this one from being one of the worst songs of the year.
3. “GDFR (feat. Flo Rida)” by Flo Rida
Flo Rida is no stranger to making terrible songs, but “GDFR” might be his worst yet. It was juvenile, unoriginal, and just plain bad. We can only hope he comes up with something better in 2016.
4. “Hotline Bling” by Drake
This song was so popular that even people who don’t like Drake were singing it. But make no mistake – it was still a terrible song, with its repetitious lyrics and Drake’s whiny singing voice. Here’s hoping 2016 is kinder to Drake (and our ears).

This is another example of a song that was insanely popular despite being terrible. The girls of Fifth Harmony couldn��t sing their way out of a paper bag, and yet this song was played on repeat all year long. Let’s hope they (and their fans) have better taste in 2016.”
Worst Remixes
It’s not all fun and games in the realm of electronic dance music. In fact, 2015 has seen some pretty terrible remixes that have been nothing short of an atrocity to the original song. Here are the worst of the worst, the terrible remixes that should never have seen the light of day.
– “I Will Never Let You Down” by Rita Ora: This remix by Calvin Harris is so terrible that it actually caused Rita Ora to file a lawsuit against him. The original song is a pop ballad, but Harris’ remix turns it into a generic EDM track complete with clichéd synths and an unimaginative drop.
– “Blank Space” by Taylor Swift: This remix by Steve James is just a cash-grab attempt to ride on the success of the original song. It adds absolutely nothing new or interesting, and actually makes the already overproduced original sound even worse.
– “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars: This remix by David Guetta completely misses the point of the original song, which is a fun and funky throwback to ’80s disco. Guetta’s remix is just a generic EDM track with no personality or soul.
– “All About That Bass” by Meghan Trainor: This remix by Sean Paul is just awful, and completely ruins the catchy pop tune with its reggae-infused drop and wubbing synths.
